So I bought another 10.5" only to find out when I got home someone had already messed with it.
The upper had been removed from the sealed bag and been dented and had been mated with a lower as well ( you can see the scuff marks). The charging handle has scuff marks and all the packing material was missing.
Needless to say I ripped into one of the stores staff for selling me this upper in this condition.
I was assured no one in the shop tampered with the box or the contents. So I inquired with a site sponsor to open one of there boxes to see if the same had happen to one of theirs. Answer no.
But the bolt and charging handle was missing out of both their boxed up uppers!
I told the sales staff to view the O Dels ad for this upper on their Facebook page.
It states bolt and charging handle come with this upper for $1699.
He was speechless, he didn't know quite what to do.
In defense he is not the owner of the shop.

I'm pretty sure they've all been. They're takeoffs as far as I'm aware. For every upper that was sold there's a lower registered to it unless they've gone back and re-registered them as stripped lowers.

I'm with Dilli... I run a ton of Norinco ammo through all my guns. Most of my shooting is under 100m, so good enough. Goes bang, I'm happy.

I too agree with Dilligaf. I have no issues or worries running Norc through my KAC. Norc ammo is super dirty, the inside of my AR looks like a swamp. But the Norc ammo has been reliable.

If it was common to have a major failure due to Norc ammo I'm sure we would hear about it a lot more on these forums given the hundreds upon thousands of rounds that have been shot by CGN'ers

Too me it doesn't make sense to make a rifle go through unnecessary wear and tear. I keep my firearms well oiled my self and run decent ammo at the least through them, no reason to run crappy ammo, especially that supports the Communist Chinese war industry for the sake of saving a few bucks. If the ammo was made in say Taiwan for example and of decent quality then I would have no problem with it, otherwise no way I would support that decision unless no other options available . I am amazed you guys cannot connect the dots on this certain topic.

For me it is the same type of thinking that helped us get the firearms laws we have today.

As for SAS it looks really nice cosmetically and will shoot very well with milspec ammo and adhere to the SAS standard that are world renown many times over in SF community.

"unnecessary wear and tear " LMFAO, these rifles are built to withstand thousands of rounds in full auto. You will never wear one out as a civy, doesn't matter what type of ammo you throw at it.

Completely not True young Dilli. All guns wear out with usage yes they can withstand thousands of rounds depending on the rifle they can go beyond $50,000, but that depends on the rate of fire also. Either way I prefer to take care of my rifles.

There is NO unnecessary wear and tear with NORC 5.56......

Norc 5.56 is pretty much identical to AE 223 55 gr black box (which is loaded hot) AE is dirty too..

Side note: Shoot which ever you want out of your AR15's.. if you only want to feed them gold match standard crimped in the USofA go for it.

People just like to bash cheap ammo for no reason. lol. They think if they pay more money for 556 because it comes in a shiny box it makes it better somehow ... I just buy the ch!t when its on sale, Right now im using PMC Green tips and they dont shoot any better than the Norincrap.

Guys give me Ch!t for using Hirtenberger surplus in my Cadex. and I say the same thing. Who gives a rats ass, I get way more trigger time and thats whats important.

I was responding more to Bongoz statement about his rifle being a swamp internally than how crappy Norc ammo is.

One question though what data do you have that confirms this between AE and Norc? Is that your experience and observations you have found.
Second I don't trust China's current manufacturing standards and god knows what else is in the usual carbon build up that comes with Norc ammo.

I stated several reasons Dilli that your are not completely addressing. I know from my sources that Norinco can make excellent quality stuff when they want, but for political reasons already mentioned I would abstain from purchasing from them.

I dont give a crap about politics, Because if I did I wouldn't have a TV, cell phone , and every awesome gadget around my house. So you better get off your computer if you believe in politics so much :)

Everything we own is made in China unfortunately.

Well that is the attitude of precisely why we have the laws we do in the firearms world. Pretty arrogant statement Dilli. Supporting the weapons industry of our Western world should be a basic priority of any Canadian citizen to recognize at the very least. I don't follow your thinking accept I get the impressions it goes along the lines as "what's good for me is best '.

The world is phucked, Ive been to a few different ch!tholes on this planet and my experiences made me numb to politics and this is why I dont give a ch!t anymore. So yes " what's good for me is best "

FFS is just ammo not nuclear weapons... lol...

They Chrono very close.
We have seen 50000 rounds of Norinco fired in a 2 week PMC course, and had almost zero ammo related issues
AE is just as dirty over that firing schedule, with about the same failures (almost none)
The ammo that does have a higher failure rate is PMC bronze in that 2 week course. ( weaker loads)

Well maybe "swamp" was a bit of an exaggeration.

Leaving it dirty as long as the rifle is well lubed won't increase wear. I'll clean it every 400-500 rnds. If I kept it well lubed I doubt I would see extra wear even it I ran it up into a 1000 or 2000rnd count without cleaning.
