Ontario MNR raising coyotes?

If it was anyone else, I would have laughed and gone on with my day. I am not a conspiracy person, but this sounds just stupid enough for the Wynn government not to completely disbelieve. I think it is best just to leave him to his dilemma and forget about it; I was going to help him clean up on the coyotes as he does not have a rifle to do it.

Councillor buddy of mine had complaints from one of his constituents about the large number of skunks he figured the county released near his place. Sounds like it was the kind lady , down the road, who had live trapped and released about 20 there.

Grizz

That make me laugh Grizzly Adams. My father and uncle had an infestation of skunks for about 2 years; they had to trap maybe 30 of them, and the dogs were getting sprayed on a regular basis. One day Dad looked out and saw the local exterminator driving up the country road behind my uncle's. He came back about 5 minutes later. He found out that the exterminator was driving just past my uncle's place and releasing the skunks he had trapped in town. After a an unpleasant conversation for the exterminator, he decided it was best for him to drop them off in an unpopulated area.

it's true. They call the facility Algonquin Park. They now have expanded the breeding program to include all counties surrounding the park.
It is illegal to shoot them.

Yes! And I heard in the centre of the park there's and underground facility where they breed samsquanches.

I was just talking with a buddy that is having coyote problems. He has been feeding deer near his place and now the coyotes have found them. I said we need to pop some the S.O.B.'s to drive them off. His response was there is not much use as the MNR will reintroduce the coyotes to control the deer population. He said there is a facility where they keep them to release into the areas where there is high deer mortality due to overpopulation.

Has anyone else heard of this? If this is the case, I want my taxes back for funding something that stupid!

Call me... I have a new coyote rig & electronic caller...

And I've never heard of the MNR raising coyotes, BUT THEY ARE protecting them in zone 56 where I moose hunt. Can't shoot coyotes OR wolves as of last year in the area our camp is. And we all know what that will do to the deer & moose population! Sigh

Cheers
Jay

you do not like the idea of feeding coyotes ...? lol

Only been out once, but it worked fine! I'd buy the Hellfire from FoxPro again.

Going out again & hope to nail a coyote this weekend! :ar15:

Cheers

Good luck but expect to see one for every 15-20 sets. How you like the hellfire? Fairly small? hard to tell from the online pics? I have a spitfire but the volume could definitely be louder and the range from the remote is not great.
Called one in last weekend but I found it's tracks heading my way after I had packed up and moved on.:(
