this is my secondary "AK wannabe" configuration for my sks:

-fabricobbled the stock out of a spare chinese stock and a butler creek folding stock
-optic is a PK-AA (PK-A Venezuela)

Its a norinco factory sks-d sporter stock. Some of these were imported in the 80s/90s, most commonly seen on the shortened "paratrooper" SKSd. perhaps it was destined for the US market but because of the Chinese import ban implemented at that time found it's way to canada wearing a full sized rifle

I got the magwell installed today - it was a bit of a PITA, but it seems to function almost properly. A bit of work left with the dremel. Looking forward to getting it out into the woods to try it out. I was planning to give this gun to my nephew, but I've gotta say, I'm liking it more than I thought I would!

I'm thinking I need to add some picatinny raill sections. I'd like to add one laser in red, one in green, an IR laser designator, visible and IR lights, monopod, bipod, and tripod, plus a vertical grip, hand stop, a bigger 10-24x optic, tritium front and rear sights, loudener on the muzzle, a bunch of QD swivels, sling, heat shield, bayonet, butt pad, brass deflector, and brass catcher. Plus mag clamps, of course, so I can clip three or four mags together.

I really like the look of the top one. That's how you do a tasteful, practical SKS. Only problem is that you can't use stripper clips with the rail. The AR/XCR magwell adaptation on this rifle would make it perfect :)

Norinco M in Matador chassis modified by Trueshot for AK mags / modified Trueshot scope mount / Magpul furniture / Troy battle sights with utg riser on front to maintain same plane.

Never thought I would want an SKS until I got one in trade..... But she's too nice to Tactify... Now I gotta buy another and black it out !!! A guy at my local CT told me they just got a bunch in but they haven't been sorted yet. He also said they are going up from the regular $199 to around $275.
