Just got off the phone with Evan, super nice fellow, had to cancel my order... They genuinely feel bad for the customers and I as a customer feel bad for them, through no fault of their own, they've let customers down and that sucks since it's not their fault these got prohibited. I've ordered from Wolverine in the past, and I will order from them in the future as well

The CCFR has started to work on spreading the message, stay tuned for more news on this.

Here is what we released so far:

CCFR Update:
CZ858 Spartan Issue

As most of us know, the RCMP has again made the wrong choice in choosing politics over public safety. I have sent a message to my contact at Public Safety to see if they are motivated to look into this. Why the RCMP's actions are wrong and against the general interests of Canadians is obvious. What may not be as apparent are the implications of the basis on which the RCMP generated a new FRT. At this point, it seems this was based simply on a new engraving or marking of the receiver. What are the implications here? Any unprecedented markings or inscriptions create new firearms in need of classification? What about the 100's of thousands of custom engraved firearms that have been imported over the past 20 years? Not to mention any additional UN related markings originating before import.

This is yet another serious precedent. While we see what we can do about this latest scandal, you can help by writing to your MP. Include the reasoning above and a link to the article below as well as our explainer video. Email and hard copy letters work.

Stay tuned...

The RCMP are laughing their butts off right now...MOLON LABE eh, well guess what, we just took them, hardee har har har!!! This is ridiculous.

I haven't seen the rifle so I'm just guessing but they might be. FaCory covered but I guess to them that still counts. I know when I look at my reciver I have at home I can see the weld.

They were originally milled for full auto parts, but no full auto parts were ever drilled for or installed. The gun was NEVER full auto to begin with, and they welded in those blocks to fill in the milling.

I too would like to see a picture of a Spartan receiver side by side to a regular non-restricted 858.

If they are indeed converted automatics and the receivers are indeed milled out differently, we won't have a leg to stand on and need to direct our efforts to fighting this "converted automatic" legislation.

You missed the point. These cz858 are the same as the other post 2007 cz858s. They simply have the spartan monicker. Because of the new name, The CFO deamed them a new model and issued the converted auto FRT number. All other cz858 are named specifically as non restricted or restricted thanks to the Conservative party.

From the FRT notes: "Molon Labe is creatively translated to be Come and Take Them"

Well if the addition of "creatively translated" to that isn't dripping with contempt and belittlement to people who just want to be left alone with their private property.

That is all you need to know about how the RCMP views the peasants.

Oh okay. So all of the other post 2008 858's in the country are also converted autos, which we can only own thanks to our friends with the CPC? If that's the case, this is certainly unfair. However, is it the first time a separate FRT has been created for a firearm that is a same, but appears different?
