I would love to see firearms retailers, gunsmith houses across Canada offer Molon Labe w/Spartan helmet, etching service, nominal fee charged and free for cz858 owners. No I don't own one, though I would like to.

I have a scrap car. I wonder if I got a big Molon Labe Sticker and sent it to them if they'd take it??

Anybody else sending in letters or anything to go against this garbage their trying to do?? Just sent my letter in to House of Commons

My writing skills are pretty good, it's my knowledge of all this that is lacking. I've only been in the gun game for a couple years. I feel I should write to someone though.

You're a regular customer and supporter so I respectfully understand your post...

No sir. I have never purchased anything from Wolverine before. I'd like to think I will be a supporter, in as much as my limited budget will allow.

If I can get something I want, and support someone who is supports me, I feel I get double value for my money.

If anyone has a doubt that we need to find common ground on some neutral territory they need only read this thread. Any argument to that?

In this forum we should be empathizing with what Wolverine was trying to do - for profit as well as to open the envelope of our firearms privileges. And having some feelings for his potential for financial loss as a result of a bureaucratic decision that followed the book without exercising reasonable discretion.

How can anybody win when we have some shouting that we need "test cases" to take to court then have others claiming that they brought it on themselves???? I'm not one for breaking the law to make a point but we might have to bend it a bit ;-)

There have been far too many threads that have demonstrated the lack of cohesion in this community. I for one have mostly given up on trying to have a reasonable conversation with most on either side of any fence.

Len's argument wasn't much of an argument at all, he just thought he could get some traction about his omitted comment regarding a sellers offerings... he thought he could damage a reputation or something, ultimately only damaged his own.

In this threads's case the RCMP are just going to say that the conservatives offered an exemption against their judgement that this firearm IS, in fact, prohibited and that this particular "version" does not fall under that exemption. Knowing now that the FRT isn't necessarily a lawful requirement for a firearm I'd be interested to see what legal recourse may be available.

Frustration is taking its toll on all of us and manifests itself in many ways. I just hope LenDen's blood pressure is not peaking in the same manner. I can relate!

Frustration is putting it mildly. My first reaction when I heard about this was "Lock and Load! Go down fighting and take as many of the bastards with you as you can!!".

After stopping to breathe, take my blood pressure medication and have a couple of cigarettes, I'm left more with the sense that if the average Canadian was aware of this arbitrary, petty behaviour of the RCMP then they would be reined in pretty damn quick. The problem is getting the message out to the average Canadian. Faith Goldy of Rebel Media did a report on this, but she's just preaching to the choir. We need to get this into the mainstream media, but they're so complicit in the gun-grabbing agenda that exposure is unlikely.

I'm thinking our only hope may be click-baiting average people into going to sites that explain this issue. We all seen the ads all over web pages flaunting things like "See what was found in celebrity closets!! Number 5 is shocking!". Maybe we should be creating ads like "See what the RCMP tried to get away with this week! Number 3 will blow you away!!!".

Sig Sauer 1911 Spartan are sold in Canada, so what the frack??

Wolverine should sue the RCMP, do it for all of us. This is just spiteful harassment.

:agree:
Pure vindictiveness plain and simple.
At least have a lawyer look at it.
Goodale should be approached first and asked to exercise common sense and judgement and reverse this arbitrary and vindictive decision of the rcmp.
This is a case in point example of why the rcmp should not have purview over firearms classifications.
The cpc made a mistake in 2006 when they tasked the rcmp to administer the firearms program.

I've been on this forum for a few years now and I don't often say too much. I find all the bickering and fighting amongst the gunnies to be exhausting. We are a very small percentage of the population in this country fighting against a large % that don't think we should even be allowed to own firearms and still we are constantly dividing ourselves. We need to learn to stick together no matter what. Even if it means supporting something you have no vested interest in or helping the people who ask the questions you deem to be stupid. Or sometimes just by keeping your mouth shut even if you disagree. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but I believe there is a time and place and an open forum for all to see is not the place. Just for a second let's try to think of the greater good and not just our own personal agenda. I have no interest in a Cz 858 or any other firearm like it but I'll still support Wolverine for trying to bring new and interesting things to the Canadian market and for standing up for our hobby. Today it's the new shipment of 858's tomorrow who knows what they'll go after. United we have a chance to keep firearm ownership around in this country. We start giving an inch on any aspect whether it be handguns, black rifles, Eastern bloc rifles all the way down to hunting rifles and they're going to continue to take and take.

End of rant

Coudln't agree more!!! Well said guncrazy5606

When you see a weakness in the opposing team....you pick them apart. They know they can take us down when we show this childish non team player like attitude.
Can't say it enough.....UNITED we need to stand on all grounds.

THIS ISN'T SO BAD!!!

The CZ858 is still legal and non-restricted in Canada. This batch is the only batch affected and so what!!! The CZ858 is still legal. Is it a shame that ONE business, that is exploiting this opportunity to profit (with probably a huge markup) from the gun community at ridicules prices just got shut down? I say big deal. Feeding to the arrogance of some gun owners by taunting the RCMP with "Molon Labe" engraved on the rifle was not too smart. All this does is just makes the gun community look bad. And i know with this post I may/will get criticized and attacked by the retailer and some retailer suck up’s on this site but I don’t care cause nobody likes brown nosers anyway or at least I don’t.!

Some Police are arrogant! and power trip! and some hypocrites that police this site are no different - if not worse! I will get arbitrarily punished by the site police for speaking my mind even though I am a Canadian gun owner. Respect works both ways no matter who you are or what “side” you’re on.

RCMP members are just liberals puppets.

PLEASE EXPLAIN YOUR SELF!!! the guns are worth what people are willing pay for them...over 100 spoken for and reserved I guess 100 people are wrong and you're right? Oh not to mention the previous batch that sold 350 or so in 4 hours for about the same price. So what if MR. wolverine got the factory to build them for free after visiting master Yoda who cares..

Oh and you must enjoy when the government meddles with law abiding people right???

Lay off the picnic juice! LenDen99

I don't think you really want me to explain... and I see your another customer and supporter... and I don't like the government getting involved or the RCMP... if they even talk about prohibiting the SKS then WE THE GUN LOVING CUSTOMER will be paying $1,285 or more for it!... I'm all for business making money but profiteering off of hard working gun lovers with families, bills, taxes, etc I'm not a fan of. And I'm certainly not going to stand up for them blindly. Read my post. The gun itself is STILL legal - it's just this transaction that is dead... get over it. Deal with it.

Anyway I said what I wanted to say. Not responding to anymore. The site government has rules, law and regulations that are vague and can be used to certain needs of a few. I am afraid of the web site police and the arbitrary consequences that I may indure in speaking my mind because it may fall under trolling, being liberal, maybe a curse word somewhere, etc etc... so insult away.

Trump :)
