Canadian Armed Forces looking to retire BHP by 2026

We are the Glock.
Lower your pistols and surrender your magazines.
You will add our technological and ergonomical distinctiveness to your own.
Your military or law enforcement agency will adapt to service us.
Resistance is futile.]

Nails It! The ultimate decision will be politically based. Logic, reason and common sense will not apply.

i can imagine how much corruption, stupidity and nonsense goes on in government purchases like this... a Mexican cartel could probably do a better job and pull this off in 6 months and under budget...lol...

To be fair, the Mexican Cartels have a bigger budget than the CF, and don't have to answer to a bunch of crooked politicians - buy them, yes, answer to them, no.

I work in the procurement field. The devil is in the details. The technical specs and statement of requirement should be the minimum you are willing to accept. That minimum can't exclude all others but it sure can minimize the field to keep the crap out.
Having dealt with PWGSC, they can only work with what they are given. If you get crap, the statement of requirement is usually at fault.

Here's to getting the best possible.:cheers:

I gotta say, the Beretta APX looks like a Hi Point....

You mean in the sense that they both have triggers, slides and barrels? because I'm really not seeing it:

Sig P320......Please God's of procurement.

Now the US has chosen this pistol there really is no reason not to tag along. The 320 replaces a very good design. I suspect the 320 could be also considered for the RCMP should someone begin to think their pistol should be replaced.

Sorry Glock you just lost out on largest, most important military pistol contract to be let out for the next 30 years.

Take Care

Bob

Don't know how this plays out for the Canadian Forces contract, but I have it on pretty good authority that JTF2 is planning to ditch their SIGs for G19's.
