Cheek Rest Padding

I use the Pachmayr PacSkin on my adjustable cheek risers. It provides a softer feel than rigid plastic, so it is a win for me.

Ha ! Skullboy and I obviously went to the same gunsmith school :) I Use the mouse pad method and also have used simple foam (pipe insulation) covered with tape - not overly pretty but works just great.

I've done the roll bar pad and hockey tape, the old mouse pad, the wide foam weather stripping too, sometimes even go crazy and cut the ankle part off a new sock to cover it, all work very well. I just thought maybe I'd get a bit fancier this time with it and treat myself to a overpriced commercial built pad that will work no better but look good doing it lol.

Haha your comment is awesome! I'm cheap though so I'll probably go for the DIY type deal.

Nylon 2 side neoprene wet suit material works well. It comes in many thicknesses. You can cut it to any shape and then paint the edges with contact cement to give it a really professional looking finish, then glue it to the stock with contact cement.

Well I broke down and ordered a overpriced commercial pad, bought direct from Wiebad, emailed them and USPS shipping $11, and few hrs later they sent me a tracking number, so I'll chaulk up most of the cost to their awesome customer service, emailed them got immediate response, paid, shipped, tracking all in a few hours.

There is no damn way my old mouse pad can be as good, so I'm saving the hockey tape for another day LOL.
