Canada has weird firearm laws that prevent guns like this from getting popular. First of all the standard barrel is too short to be a restricted firearm and needs to have an extended barrel usually a threaded barrel put into it. Second since its very difficult to get a carry licence in Canada small compact pistols are overlooked for full frame competition pistols since you can't carry them but can shoot in competitions with them (at a disadvantage compared to full frame pistols).
In short its not just the Cz p07 duty its any compact or sub-compact pistol because Canada's firearm laws are weird.
I would love to get one of the Gen2 ones with the replaceable back straps. I think that CZ upgraded this one in a couple of other different ways as well. Gotta love that trigger.
I have asked around about the gen 2 and was told the P07 cannot legally come into Canada at all, or there are none in Canada, nor will there be soon. That being said, I picked up a gen 1 and love it so far! Would be nice to get a gen 2...
A standard CZ p07 gen 2 would be great! All of the extras for suppressor use are pointless for us here in Canada. It makes sense why they chose that though, it already complies with the barrel length requirement out of the box. Im having a hard time tracking down a spare barrel and a decocker kit as well. It frustrating not being able to find parts for this pistol...IRUN guns I believe offered them awhile back. They had the threaded barrel and raised suppressor sights. Not sure if I am into all that.
