Canada Ammo's January Madness Sale!

I took the 50 case limit as meaning they were just limiting how many cases they wanted to sell at that price. I didn't feel it implied a limited supply at all. Just my thoughts at the time.

Same, especially as the only announcement I recall about the quantity they had in stock was that they had plenty.

I guess the trick with volatile ammo prices is what they call dollar cost averaging in the investing world. Buy a certain $$ value of ammo every month/quarter/whatever - when the prices are low you get more ammo that period and when the prices are high you get less.

Buy low shoot high. Hold on, that didn't come out right...

Did Anybody try canam 9mm reloads yet

Ordered, haven't shot yet. I suppose the ones who are good will go bang most, if not all the time.

However, the quality isn't there. From bulk, I put all my ammos into empty 50-rounds box for convenience. Out of 1000 rounds I bought:
-10 are missing (only got 990 total ammos. Not so bad, but normally on bulk they throw a couple extras just to make sure);
-3 weren't crimped correctly, the bullet fell off. So I found 3 bullets, 3 primed cases and powder spilled in the bag;
-12 are not a correct OAL. I'm not saying 0.001'' too short or too long, I'm saying 12 rounds are so small or so long that you can easily see with your eyes that they won't fit in any gun. I'm gonna pull the bullets out of these, flush the powder, and just consider them like primed cases and 124gr bullets ready for reloading.

So if every round that looks ok are actually ok, then that's 975 rounds for the price of 1000. Nothing to cry to your mama, but definitely doesn't deserve a medal either.

Considering the minimal saving compared to the IMI or PMC when they get one sale, I won't buy them anymore. I have enough stocked that I can wait out for a sale. On sale the IMI are 300 or 306$, while the canam reloads are around 280$. I'd rather pay the extra 20-25$. I've also bought remanufactured ammos from another dealer that were in boxes, had only 1 bad round out of 1000 (a 9x21 case had slip through), and were only marginally more expensive (like 5$ for 1000).

My 2¢. Maybe that was just bad luck on my part though.

tooling up for that has been an ordeal. The product is approved and the presses arrive soon as retrofitting for berdan primers.

Could you clarify what you mean with this post? Are you tooling up to produce in-house the cheap n/c 7.62x39 that we were all excited about and this latest batch of Norinco was simply to tide things over?
