ask for 700, then they tell you max they give.
Does anyone know how long takes to get a reply from the refund request??
Thanks Terry
they refund all that are in the age range, just put down 700$ and they will say no, $### is the max they pay.
mine didnt work, they took it. besides, you have to ship with no batteries in it. just clean it out as best you can. not like it is worth anything the way it is anyways
I don't have any Eotechs, and neither do I sell them, or recommend them to any of my customers. All of my professional customers that have them in their inventory, are in the process of returning them to the manufacturer, and replacing them with Aimpoints. And by professional customers, I am referring to those guys and gals that spend their lives kicking in doors and going toe to toe with bad people, I guess you would refer to them as "operators".
I happy for you if your sight works for you, what with you doing cqb and all.
If by fact, you are referring to the exact sight you own, it is unlikely that you will find anything posted about it online, unless you posted something about it.
If by fact, you are referring to Eotech sights in general, including the same model as the one you own, you are just showing your complete and utter ignorance, given that the manufacturer has admitted that the zero drift is a real thing. Maybe you should post your sight back to them so they can see what they did when they built your sight, and use that knowledge to fix all the other ones.
The feeling at CANSOF/JTF2 and other organizations is that this issue could sink the company (Eotech, not L3), and if that occurs, there will be nowhere for you to send your sight when you eventually experience an issue with it.
Regards.
Mark
From my understanding it is all blown out of proportion by all the mall ninja's and keyboard operators. Yes Eotech has admitted there may be a defect in SOME of the sights in more extreme temperatures, they have to disclose it because if there was a loss of life due to their product failing in the field they would never recover. This dosent mean their product is crap overnight. None of these mall ninja keyboard commando zombie killer operators ever had an issue with their sights(and probably never would have) until Eotech disclosed the POSSIBILITY OF A DEFECT FOR PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY and all the Cyber Rambos jumped on the occasion. I think people who kept their eotechs are the ones that actually used and abused them and never had any issue or malfunction, they know first hand that their gear will work when the"bad guys" or zombies come. US forces have been using Eotechs for over a decade and now suddenly they are ####?! Common people ...
Got to agree with you. I just watched a youtube video were a kid who runs a mostly gamer related channel fired a group at 50 yards, REMOVED his 552, stuck it in dry ice until the sight reached -40 f, PUT THE SIGHT BACK ON and shot another group. He had a 3" POI shift and said he would be sending his Eotech in for the refund. Really? I don't know where to start with whats wrong with all that, but it doesn't shake my faith in the sight. I ain't no high-speed low-drag operator fixing to do battle in the arctic, and if I was I wouldn't be removing my sight, putting it back on and expecting it to hold zero.
And yeah..... Every single sight/optic out there will be affected by temperature.... every single one.
Ok that's good news. So they never tested the optic or questioned you about its operational condition prior to shipment?
They just Care that it's a legit eotech correct model/serial
