Woodleigh weldcores

Ron,

Geoff is the owner and creator of Woodleigh ...

sorry to say that i disagree on comparing the ballistic tip, interlock or prohunters with the woodleigh ... i do not think that for the price you get a better value especially for the one you used on your lion .... i wished we had that choice when i worked in CAR ...

but that is your money not mine and luckily we can have the discussion and merits on bullets we want to use ...

Of course, all in good discussion.

I appreciate the fact that Woodleigh makes a few projectiles in uncommon sizes. Like the 160 grain .287 diameter bullet for the .275 H+H that also happens to be perfect for the 280 Ross.
Otherwise, I don't know where I would find .287 jacketed bullets.

I'm not saying this is definitely coming to Canada, but if there's a specific lead bullet you like you'd better stock up on them.

it was supposed to be implemented in 2006 in Sweden, guess what they are still using lead ...

Some sources indicate otherwise -

"Few examples of legislation requiring use of lead-free rifle ammunition for game hunting exist. They comprise Sweden and..."

"Lead ammunition is banned completely in Denmark, Netherlands, and Sweden..."

It's already in effect in California. You can try and keep your head in the sand, but it's most likely coming.

so because it is in California it is coming everywhere ... yes eventually one day but i objected that some are saying Sweden when it is not and since 2006 they have tried ...
we already had that discussion over here about lead poisoning and not evidence has been shown and we ate a lot of wild game killed by lead so far im still alive ....

The wingnut/libtard/state of Kalifornia is good at jumping the gun on matters such as these.
We will not have lead-free here for rifles for a while yet, so best breathe easy. D.

Surprised to see how those 338 225gr Woodleigh's expanded. For lighter bullets in smaller calibers it confirms my preference for TSX bullets. No issues with these (except for copper fouling). Here's a 300gr TSX bullet recovered from a Bull Moose shot with a 416 Ruger. Impact speed was around 2500 fps -

Well, those solid copper bullets are hardly failproof either. Look at this pair of non-expanded Barnes. D
