I have an R8 Safari package. The design of this rifle is most interesting and the construction quality is top notch. I'm currently working on some unique handloads for it.
I think about this rifle more than any other. Its potential for use is limited only by the barrels you can find, and there are lots of options. It is on the pricey side, however., and waiting for parts can take a while.

Nothing against those builders, but those aren't custom rifles and you won't find an actual custom rifle for much under $10k. Slapping an aftermarket stock and barrel on a Rem 700 action doesn't make it a custom. Blasers probably start at around $3500.
Found a wicked deal from Euro optics. I wonder how hard it would be to get this thing into Canada. I think Prophet river can do it for a couple hundred bucks.

Neither beautiful to look at, nor traditional...but absolutely the last rifles that I would ever sell, as long as hunting is still on the table for me. I expected a terrific hunting rifle, and that's what I got. I now have two stock/receiver units and four barrels...so it's like having 8 terrific hunting rifles.
