Blaser lovers

They also have some of the best metal material. Very hard metal and barrels will last longer than most guns off the shelf. Very well made rifles

Love my Professional R8. Actually sold 90% of my rifles to get it.

Sold my 7mm barrel to get something I actually am setup to reload for.

Though have a 308 semi weight, 243 std, and 300winmag match barrel on route. Covers all my bases from yote, to long range target.

Calgary Shooting Center is cheapest for barrels. Most std starts at $1015. When you compare the cost to rebarrel a rifle with a decent barrel, and smith fees, not to mention now you have a "custom" style scope mounting option. Your near the same in price. At least any I have compared, and I have built many low and high budget rifles.

I love my R93 professional with my collection of calibers 223, 243, 6.5x55 Swede, 3006, 300 winmag, 375 H&H. What I love most is I don't need to get used to the feel of a new rifle when I want to change calibers. I also have kickstop installed which is as good as a brake at reducing recoil (IMHO) and then I can remove it before hunting season.

Looking for a set of one in rings for a saddle mount if anyone knows where I can purchase them

Yes, I'm very fortunate and that's how I feel.....and I get to go to the safe to look at it.....

It's a K95 Stutzen Attache......in 7x57R......Grade 9 wood, which I got to pick, although not in person. Waited 9 months after ordering, but was worth it.

Now that's a nice rifle there, amongst the nicer production rifles I've seen. Great chambering.

Are there any Blaser Lovers out there? I have an R93 and really like these guns. Hope to buy an R8 someday
I have owned a R93 Off Road and S2. They are a very unique firearm where engineering is impeccable. Yes I loved mine, however had my fun with them, sold them and moved on to other makes such as the Cooper and custom firearms. Now that the R8, former R93, has a detachable magazine I couldn't resist........it's in the mail as I type this post.

My Blaser R8 has a professional succeed stock with fluted 300wsm barrel, having a quick saddle mount and Swarovski Z8i 1-8 on it,

Needless to say the workmanship, craftsmanship is superb. Did it achieve it's normal excellence on function and accuracy?......factory or reloads? Congrats on your Mercedes Benz of hunting rifles!

Did you guys ever regret buying your Blasers?

Just curious how they fit expectations.
My only regret was waiting so long and buying so many other rifles in different calibers before getting one. They are extremely accurate ( as good as any custom especially if you get a target barrel) and I love the speed of the straight pull bolt. I also like the fact that I can take off the scope with mount and when I put it back on I don’t have to zero it back in.

I never regretted the purchase of the three Blasers that I purchased. The only regret is when I sold two of them. This year I hammered this 6x7 bull elk with the 7mm Rem. Mag., 150 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip, prone at 300 yards. Accuracy, workmanship, function from my R8 Blaser is superb!

For those who've never owned an R93 or R8, the criticism is understandable. They're not much to look at, expensive, unconventional, the synthetics aren't exotic hand laid Kevlar/carbon fibre. But for those who own them, I think you'll find that most stick with them and have a hard time to stay away. I had an R93 a few years back and about 5 calibers, but sold it all. I always regretted that, and bought back into it within the last 6 months or so. Pretty much all my other guns collect dust now. Just a friendly warning to anyone who's thinking of buying one. :)

Got two R8 rifles, one Proffesional Success in 6.5x55 and a Luxus in 30-06. Both amazingly accurate. But love my Heym SR30 too especially after I visited their factory!

I have a Blaser R8 professional with black standard stock (not wood) and the following accessories:
- 7mm Remington Magnum standard barrel with open sites & Blaser mount with Lisenfeld 3-9 X 42mm scope
- .257 Weatherby Magnum standard barrel with open sites and & Blaser mount with Swarovski 3-9 X 42mm scope
- .243 Winchester standard fluted barrel with no sites and & Blaser mount with Zeiss Conquest V4 1-4 X 24mm Illuminated Plex Reticle scope
- Tier One Carbon bipod
- Two Blaser trigger/magazine holder units, two Magnum magazines (for 7mm and .257), and two Standard .243 magazines
- Black Blaser Neopreme sling

In addition, I have a Blaser AR8 air rifle, which is a replica of the R8 rifle with a nitrogen cyllinder system that shoots .177 pellets at 1300 feet per second. I bought this rifle for target practice, but it is also a powerful small game hunting rifle.

Unfortunately owning a Blaser is addictive and it is too easy to buy more and more gear for it. A good site to drool over Blasers and other fine European firearms for sale is in Germany - https://www.egun.de/market/index.php. I have bought a few things on that site for reasonable prices. Also, see the USA site www.Blaserbuds.com for more marketplace goodies.

Blaser rifles represent the top end of of German manufacturing. Their superhard barrels require special drill bits and taps to add sites. But the benefit is that they deliver consistent sub-MOA accuracy, flexibility in barrel selection, weatherproof finishes, and lightning fast straight pull cocking. See this site for animations of the R8 action and its benefits: http://www.blaser-r8.com/#home

Weidmannsheil!
