Got 5 Sweet SKS's from Can Tire on Sale. Score!!!

Canadian Tire in Terrace BC phoned me that they had their new shipment of sks's in and I got there to find they were still the sale price of $199.99 (Regular price $220). So the guy hauled all the ones they had from the back and let me pick through them. Most were in poor condition, the stocks heavily sanded and rust on them. I picked the best 5 out of the 30 some they had gotten. All blued metal and numbers matching except the mag. But the mags are internally pinned so that was sweet. With the Can Tire Money on the Card I had, the 5 of them came out to all in with taxes $215 ea. Score!!! The manager said they were lucky to let these be able to go for this price. Their next shipment will be $40-$60 more on top of regular price. Man they are getting to be in rough shape and the price will only go up while the quality goes down. Buy while you can. From top: 1- 1952 Tula, 3- 1953 Tula and 1- 1954 Tula.

This Can tire only started carrying firearms within the last year, but they have a great section devoted to them and the fishing and firearms section is expanding. They are renovating and a larger chunk of the store is being devoted to the fishing/hunting/firearms sector. So much better than the department store selling airsoft that they were for so many years.

Your right about the new SKS arrivals at a lot of store are really getting to be in rough shape and the prices are far higher than what you paid for 100% better rifles !!

Q: do these SKS's have the new UN stamping under the Gas tube or on the side of the receiver ??

Good buy and a nice looking bunch of Sks's there !!! They are getting ruff looking for a higher price. Hand picked through 18 and bought 6 and didn't want anymore from that pile. To be honest..... took the only ones that either had no rust or no beat up badly/repaired poorly stocks....


Pickings are getting slim on cheap good quality Sks rifles quickly. I don't even think I would buy an SKS from a retailer through the mail, you never know where you're going to get anymore with out pics :/

Very nice!!

Living in the GTA, the local CTs would only carry an SKS (or any rifle) if they produced an airsoft version. Gee, thanks... I feel so safe now.
 
Nice. I know the online retailers put on sales once in a while but it's nice to be able to see what you're buying with surplus rifles. I bought two from my Canadian Tire. Good price too.
