50 rds of 45 Colt for my 92 Rossi. Mid range loads for testing. Bullet- homecast 454190 sized 452. Half with Unique- other half 231. Past experience is that 231 loads are more accurate. Next casting session going to try some at 454.
Weathers been crappy, have not been able to get out in a long time. Been waiting to get outside and do a test run on my reloads. Just couldn't walk past my reloading bench today without doing something.
It say right on the top of the box there. Heres a better pic.
Apparently its a conservative number though. Theres a big thread going on over in the snipershide forums about a couple of top PRS shooters testing it out before its release last year and they were saying that its more like a G7 .290-.295
250 rounds of .44 mag. 240 grain xtp over 24++ grains of h110 and a cci primer in fresh starline brass.. gonna feed it to the 1894 marlin on critter patrol. .
Made 5 rounds of Mexican Match (.22.5gr of factory powder)
5 rounds with 4064 22.5gr
5 rounds 4064 23gr and
5 rounds 4064 23.5 gr
Wanna see what kind of difference there is from the cheap factory steel cases stuff. The factory rounds ranged from 21.6gr of powder to 23.3. Pretty sloppy.
Ok now I need more projects to keep me busy while the range is being upgraded ...
Made up 30 rounds for my .270 Win, trying some Reloder 17 for the first time and also 130g bullets for the first time. Then I FL sized 60 rounds of 270 WSM for a friend and I'm tumbling them overnight to clean the primer pockets.
