Norinco M14 "M305A" 18.6" 7.62x39 (Non-Restricted) has arrived in Canada

it looks fun, but I have taken apart my M14 in .308 on several occasions and almost always seem to mess up the gas piston, setting it back correctly. So firing corrosive ammo, as least for some one like me would be a pain. I HATE taking apart my M14 to clean.

Isnt a quality issue.

Sorry, I have repaired enough new Norinco M305's to know there absolutely is quality issues. Brand new rifles coming from the factory missing trigger mechanism and bolt parts, incorrectly cast flash hiders, crooked op-rod guides, incorrectly index barrels, bolt latches that don't hold open, magazines that won't fit, grossly out of spec head-spacing... etc. I could go on.

Unless Norinco has completely revamped their whole QA program, I would certainly look at a VZ52/57 for near the same price or a Mini-30 for a bit more before I would even consider an M305A... my 2 cents.

The prices now is not far away from a Windham ar10 ,around $1000 for a 16.5 barrel version , much lighter gun .

The Chinese manufacturers do not care about quality because westerners will continue to purchase their product regardless. Its about quantity over quality. I also agree with you on the mini being a far better choice, however the utilization of AK mags in the Norc is a very good alternative. If only Ruger removed the need for proprietary magazines in their minis they would make a killing.

I feel the need to comment... Instead of putting a contributing dealer on the spot, I've found that PMing or contacting them directly through email or phone is usually more successful- particularly with a business as helpful as AF. That being said, The business should also be more respectful to community members, no matter how many posts they or the thread has. I haven't been in the community that long but I am aware that if we wish to be treated fairly and respectfully by the general public and government we have a need to grow our sport and its community. Fluffing off a legitimate question or making someone feel like asking about pricing was a waste of time or a dumb thing to ask won't accomplish these goals. A simple "We do not currently price match on this product" would suffice. I've ordered numerous product from you and have always been impressed with your service as well as your great pricing but you came on a little strong there IMHO.

You are absolutely right that treating the public respectfully regardless of their comment count is important. I will delete that comment, it was somewhat off side for us. Regardless, as you said, we do not currently price match this product. If we get a deeper discount you can damn well bet we will though!

All apologies for laying things down a bit heavier than usual!

If we get discounts from further down the chain we will run sales, but right now the pricing is fair.

Since you have free shipping, 100% your price is fair.
You are being asked to price match on an item that does not include shipping from a disgraced dealer, who doesn't have the item in stock even, it's a pre-order.
Some people are just too cheap for their own good.

Can NS clarify a few things?
1. From some other pics, these look like the plunger ejector has been removed from the bolt itself, and the bolt hold open latch is a modified piece which acts as a fixed ejector?
2. As a result of the above changes. there is no stripper clip guide on these rifles, which I guess was removed for reliability of the spent casings?
3. Is the bore .308 or .310?
