Hilarious! I actually like those new mini 14's considering my old 80's model was utter garbage accuracy wise. May as well have used a shotgun! Lol

If you just want a rifle that is reliable, above average accuracy, bare bones and nothing fancy, then I highly recommend the newer 58x series Ruger Mini 14.
They are nowhere near as bad as people think they are.
They are also light, well balanced and way way cheaper than any of the other options. Especially if you get one used off the EE for $800

and my mini 14 will do 1.5 moa wwhich is enough for me, and you get all this for 1k
