Remington pump gun rebarrel to 9.3X62.

Not with any attempt to hijack the thread, but here's another twist on the project. The .366 Wagner, chambered in a lever gun, like say, a BLR? I had planned on asking Ted his opinion on this when he was here and we had our get together but obviously forgot. Too many other topics on the go. Anyway, what are the thoughts on that concept for a project??

I have no doubt that would work, Johnn. Just remove existing barrel, and from there on it's basic machining to fit the new one.

You would definitely want to load up a mag full of ammo first, and check that the rifle feeds properly before going too far down the road.

Another lever gun option would be a Winchester Model 95 rebarrel. I think c-fbmi Doug did one years ago in a 35 Whelen, or perhaps it was a 35-303 Imp.

I read an article in a gun mag a few years back about a hunting guide that had a few Winchester 95s in 375 hawk-scoville. Neat guns.

I've gone as far as I can on the 22-250 so far. I'm waiting for a reamer and headspace gauges in the mail.

I'm in the works of gathering parts for a 25.06 build.

I'll be watching your build closely!

Any updates on the thumper pumper?

Odd you ask, as I was thinking just last night that folks would be wondering, and we needed to do just that.

Original plan, as posted earlier, was a barrel swap from a Husqvarna Model 46 in 9.3X57, and eventually rebarreling the 46 to 7X57. The hope was the PT would be done in time for Spring bear.

However, bought a lovely Husqvarna 7X57 from H4831, so decided to go with a new .366 barrel, which is now in hand.

The bonus to this is the new barrel is 26 inches long. We will do a barrel shortening experiment, and record velocities in two inch shortenings back to twenty inches.

Stay tuned.......
Ted
