Not so good lol
I had it supported 100% properly inside vice resting on bayo lug and upper side of FSB, had the wife holding the other end of the barrel and even clamped the muzzle to the vice for extra support.
Hit the heads of the pins with a 5/16 heavy duty punch and a full size ball peen hammer for almost 5 minutes.
Didn't even budge. Couldn't get the tips of the pin to knock down even a hair. Then heated up the FSB around the pins slightly with a torch and hit them with kroil. Again 5 minutes of heavy pounding and nothing. I've been smashing on them so hard, I'm making a mess of it.
The pins are high quality steel, they don't warp or flatten so hats off to the chinese for that. Those ####ers are in there...
I spoke to Dale at Tier one in Edmonton. He said he can get it off but it will probably destroy the FSB on there. Then I'm in the position of finding a 0.625" block. I may have to go with this one as there is zero chance the taper pin holes will line up with the taper holes in my barrel.
I'm sure they can drill the new holes to match my barrel pin holes.
The Norc taper pins appear to be exact match to my Diemaco spares I have in my parts bin. So the taper cutouts in the barrel under the block should mate up spot on.
