What were the issues Dave?
I have one in 6 Dasher that I think you would enjoy.
You'll have to show me that Dasher sometime, Brad.

One was a T3 "hunter" in 338 Win Mag. I fought with this rifle for 7 months, trying to get it to perform.
There were, basically 2 issues. 1. It was not particularly accurate, IMHO, and was very fussy about what it was fed.
2. It was dismally slow across the graph. I had pressure signs well before acceptable velocities were reached.
The max I could drive a 210 Partition was just at 2800, a speed easily attained in most 300 Magnums with similar weight bullets.
This was evident with bullet weights from 185 grains right up to 250. [My present M700 will make 3000+ with the 210 P.]
The other was a Stainless synthetic in 270. Big problem was it also was a "slow" rifle. 130's at 2875 do not cut it for me in
a 24" barrelled 270. [My present Vanguard does 3180 with the 130 AB, and just over 3000 with the 140 AB]... More like it!!
I upgraded both of those T3 rifles with metal shrouds, and SS recoil lugs, just to be sure. That Hokey aluminum "floater" is
a bit of a shortcut, that I think could have been addressed a different way.
