Ok, it's been a looooong time since I've bought a new pistol. My first ever firearm purchase was my trusty Beretta 96a. Such a beautiful handgun. However, I'm long overdue for a new one and I'm eager to get a new one. What I'm after for a new pistol is:
1) Something more compact than my Beretta
2) Polymer frame
3) Striker fired
4) .40 Cal
5) Quality trigger
Which has basically lead me to the PPQ and the 40C. I read about the PPQ some time ago and loved everything I've read about it. Most people seem to agree it's one of the best triggers out of the factory. Also read some good things about the M&P, M&P also has a friendlier purchase price. Recently had a chance to compare them both side by side at a local store the other day but the PPQ was 9mm.
To my surprise, I think I like the feel of the M&P in my hand better but that trigger pull weight....hmmm. The PPQ trigger was better but not sure it was quite as comfortable in my hand. And very surprised at the trigger creep on each. Much longer than I was expecting.
So if you were me, what would you go with?
