Mossberg Shockwave - Landing in Canada Soon?

If this brings the price down to a reasonable number than I'll get one for sure... but not for 1k like they are going for now

Wood foregrip and wood shockwave grip would be a cool upgrade.

I dont really want another one at this point....I was only trying to explain to you why others might want one.

I like Mossbergs and I'm probably not alone, sounds like you don't which is fine by me.

If I recall correctly, It's classified as an AOW (Any Other Weapon). As such, the classification is a "catch all" classification for firearms that do not meet the standard definitions of shotguns, pistols, rifles, ect. It's a $5 tax stamp compared to the $200 imposed on typical NFA classified firearms and devices.
 
Would you guys go Mossberg or Tac-14?

The way I see it, the Mossberg is .4 lbs lighter, and doesn't "need" a +1 extension, but OTOH has that ghetto foregrip setup vs the Magpul of the Remington.

Think I'd go with the Remington but with a Hogue forend, Vang Comp oversized safety and XS big dot.

it is NOT an AOW. there is no tax stamp, NOT NFA. thats why they are selling like crazy please recall correctly next time. they are classed as a firearm

never had a butt stock, NOT a shotgun
made that way from factory, so NOT AOW
longer than 26 inches, NOT a pistol
BATFE classes it as a FIREARM.

Hey we got there in the end and to be fair it's hard to keep track of the more nonsensical parts of gun control in other countries.

Wasn't trying to be argumentative, fully understand US laws are easily as confusing as ours !! Just happen to know the specifics on this one. Most of the others I don't have committed to memory.

Built a Remington 14" with Shockwave awhile ago. It's more fun to shoot than a vertical PGO ! It's far more effective than I thought it would be at the reasonable expected ranges.

I think there are some specific keys to shooting it properly like anything else. Specific way to hold it, clear understanding of what it's superior at along with it's limitations, round choice etc.

Sticking to the very limited role it's designed for, it's very handy and useful.

I prefer a vertical style grip but of course there's no way to run one and still be at nonrestricted OAL with a 14" barrel.

In my experience a PGO pump presents no real issues other than the effective rate of fire being slower.
