Sig didn't beat them out. It came down to three pistols. The Sig P320, CZ P-09 Duty, and the Glock 17/22. Both the 17 and 22 were submitted. When it comes down to a 3 way draw, the only thing that matters at this point is who will give them the best deal and Sig beat both Glock and CZ out on that. The pistols that were submitted were the Sig P320, CZ P-09 Duty, Glock 17/22, Beretta APX (Beretta M9A3 was not submitted), Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0, FN 509, Sphinx, Some really ugly striker fired 1911 from STI, and some other POS that I can't remember. The outcome had Glock really angry and has filed some kind of review or some @#$%. Steyr also sued Sig for patented infringement. All the pistols submitted are great guns. Just Sig gave the best deal to the US army.
