Ontario Transfer Wait Times?

Why do I keep seeing people post about receiving their NEW UPDATED RPAL after a purchase? I have purchased many Restricted FA's and have never received any updated RPAL or additional LTATT? Am I missing something?

I got my new RPAL after I bought my first restricted too. It has the LTATT attached to it. Call the firearms center to see if you have the LTATT attached.

you might want to follow up...I did after 10 days and was told they were taking longer than normal due to volume. Followed up yesterday (15) days and was told it was approved a week ago. Dealer wasn't notified. He called in and deal done in 15 mins. gun is on the way!

The Auction and the Retailer are on top of it. Especially the Retailer who wants the balance of the second item beyond the deposit I made. I gave them just a deposit
knowing how the delays were stacking up. I get regular updates of 'not yet' from them. ;)

But you do point out another issue is that notifications do not seem being made on a timely basis in every case.

For me the one item they did transfer for on May 10th, the written notice was not created until six days later on May 16th and there was no email notice.

Lol, yup! I didn't shoot it yet, although, I have shot my friends Shadow 2 before. Spent the day cleaning it. All that heavy steel, goodness. What a nice piece! Just ordered some black grips for it.
 
Guess I'm not the only one haha getting a little antsy want my new rifle. Like honestly how long does it take to do a transfer this day and age?
 
I just got off the phone with the RCMP and the Ontario CFO. The CFO said they will be taking a look at my file by the end of this week and apologized for taking so long. They told me it did not require any other information and everything looked good. I should have my 500 Smith & Wesson next week! My advice is, if it's been a couple of weeks, call them. Be nice, be courteous, be friendly. Don't ##### at them for taking forever. They can put you on the bottom of the pile as fast as they can move you to the top.
