What's your white whale?

Mine is a time when I will be able to carry a pistol while hunting. Or a time when I will be able to take that same pistol into the bush and shoot some pop cans with me son. Perhaps I could even take my evil black rifles somewhere other than the range to enjoy a day of plinking paper. Alas my white whale is old grey and most certainly terminally ill in this country. Guns can be bought however freedoms come at a very hefty price and rarely revert.

The right double. Sometimes I feel like I'm goldilocks and just can't find the right double. Either it's the Wrong caliber, borders on pricing, other priories just building a house or starting a family. But it's on my mind daily and I just know that one day it'll all come together and I'll be smiling ear to ear.

Can't say ... they do not come about that often. Hoping I will be able to pick it up later this summer if still available.

That'll learn ya. I have given up on a S&L. Most for sale are in 7 S&H.

I still watch the S&L videos from time to time and drool over some of their offerings.

My white whales are:

1. Browning in .257 Roberts. The only one I ever found I could not afford at the time and I have never seen or heard of one since.

2. .275 Rigby by Rigby. Okay, I know I will never afford one unless the lottery Gods smile upon me. But it is nice to dream.

3. Browning A5 in 20 gauge. Maybe some day I will find one.

Mine also is a BLR .257 Roberts, it's now pretty much my wife's deer rifle now.. I also owened a browning A5 that I sold a few years ago.
