First Impressions:

The good: Accurate (sub 3" group at 100m using a Sightron 1-7x 4" group with irons. I suspect when i get my home loads into it, and the scope dialled in perfectly, it will be a 2.5"@100m gun. Groups were VERY consistent.), Lower recoil than 556x45 (I was shooting 180gn hp's) Very low muzzle report. Mags drop free easily, sights are great, takedown is an absolute snap.

The bad : Brass is ejected with such ferocity (which is good but..) you will need to be careful getting the mouth to fit into your sizing die.It gets booted from hitting the top of ejection port. Also the factory did not locktite my barrel shroud. Minor complaint really, but it has to be said they missed this one. In 100 rounds, there was one FTF where the bullet jammed on the feed ramp. Easy to clear. Rack the charging handle, tip gun to the right and the offending round falls to the ground.

The hits: White finish looks AWESOME... but it shows every dirty paw print etc. Such is life with a white gun. Draws a good crowd at the range, and a line up to fire it. Recoil of the hot 10mmAuto is between a .22 and a .223 A 10 year old could fire this comfortably, the recoil mitigation system works that well. Low noise is also a plus.
Controls have a GREAT feel, both tactile and audible in terms of finger feel for safety and the trigger reset. The safety clicks with authority, as does the trigger reset. You can hear both clicks with standard muffs on.

Is this gun expensive? It depends on what you want. For 3 gun or CQB (up to 100m), Wilderness carry, I believe this gun is THE answer. The fact it takes inexpensive GLOCK mags is a plus, it is lighter than your typical AR (which we of course cannot carry anyhow) and it shoulders more naturally than many rifles on a snap fire test.

That being said, I have not tried 150M yet. It is absolutely stellar at 50 and 100m, but I have a feeling 150M will be the absolute practical limit of the 10mm. Not a fault of the gun certainly. When I go for 150m I will be sure to have more bags, and my dangerous game rest to bolt the gun on to help eliminate anf human (me) error.

After several mags of snap firing at 50m, I can confidently say between the ergos, controls, low recoil moment, and low noise, this firearm was made for a purpose.

And within these boundaries it is nothing short of amazing.

 Looking forward to the pics, thanks for the review.

Yup pics needed indeed. Thanks for the review.

You are most welcome. The fact that 10mmAuto can be tamed to this level of comfort is amazing. I plan to do a follow up once i get 500 rounds loaded (after load development) and fired.

I can't really say why, but I have a gut feeling that 200gn projectiles will really shine in this platform. Of course, part of that could be from the fact I have 12,000 of them at home.

Might even try some FAF 165 grain loads... I have some Vhitavouri around here somewhere, and the norma loading....

Anyhow, Pics and hopefully some more data when I put the bullets on the beam rider. The BS stops when the Chronograph comes out.

It does make sense that the Vector's recoil system would be more effective when there's more recoil to work with - just due to the nature of the system. More recoil energy gives more mitigation. 10 mm might be the perfect cartridge for that action.

It's funny that you mention the brass ejection intensity- that was one thing that always made me laugh about my gen 1 in .45acp. I always joked that the brass was moving faster than the round was going down range.

I would agree with that statement. I am heading out with some 200gn loads today to give it a workout.

Damn you Got Juice!

I just bought a Kriss in 9mm after a LOT of deliberation between it and 10mm (9mm won as I`m just getting setup to reload it and its a little cheaper for components) - now you're making me regret my decision!

If I`m honest I kinda knew this day would come.......

From what you say it sounds like 10mm is the perfect fit for the Kriss

The 9mm version shoots pretty soft, it feels like a 22 on steroids with the recoil reduction system

Sell it and get the 10. Problem solved. hahaha.

Well, I put through 300 rounds of 10mmAuto 200gn handloads. And wouldn't you know it, I took my chrono out and the battery was dead. FMG.

Load was 5.1gn TG over CCI Mag LG Rifle Primers. MAX COAL for Glock mag.

Be damned if it was even quieter than the 180's Now, max load is 5.4 according to book, but we all know that depends o n load development, and with 5.1 loaded, I have some room for more powder and primers are looking good.

The bad : Groups were in the 4" range. I should not call this bad, a 200gn hunk of lead is substantial!!!!. I think more powder will solve the issue. The gun is VERY quiet with 5.1 Needs more boom I think. Then the groups will tighten, and the ''popgun'' comments will end :)

Recoil was so light, I had my buddies 13 year old daughter shooting it like ammo was free.... and she normally prefers the IUR shooting X-Tac. That is how light the recoil is.

Shot a 9mm AR-15 and it had more muzzle rise, and more recoil than the 10mm Vector. This gun was made for the high pressure 10. No doubt in my mind.

It's a tough choice. with the cost of 9mm being so cheap, 9 makes a lot of sense.

For those in the bush a lot, 10 makes more sense as a PDW.

Also I bought a Glock40MOS 10mmAuto, and this gun is the perfect complement. Shared ammo, shared mags, they eventually will wear the same red dot.

PS, 10mmAuto is the same cost to reload as .40 cal. The only change is Large primers (a pain in the ass) and longer brass (buy 2000 new rounds, and you have enough to do some reloading on)

I wish i had a better range of vocabulary, the 10 feels fantastic. The low muzzle blast is a real novelty. What is a CRACKING KABOOM out of the Glock 40 becomes a very soft 'boom' out of the Vector.
