Asked to provide pictures of lower to RCMP before they will complete transfer?

Elaborate registered, original certificate with a barrel length or re-certificated as a receiver only?

Just got this letter out of the blue about a rifle I've owned for a few months now...


according to the appendix that was attached

"either one or both walls need to be thickened over the selector axis" and high shelf

my lower definatly has thin walls on both sides..

ive looked at my areo lower and it has 1 wall thickened

Has anyone on here sent the pics to the lab with 2 thin walls? im afraid if I send the the pics they will tell me to turn in the gun.

More likely they will send the RCMP to your home to pick it up if they determine it is a prohibited firearm .
 
Coming up on the 6 O'Clock News: RCMP rumoured to refuse the transfer of any new AR15 lowers to licensed individuals, if said individual is know to possess (or have easy access) to a milling machine. RCMP lab technicians claims it would be too easy for anyone with such piece of equipment to convert the receiver to a automatic firearm.

When questioned about the ease to illegally machine an illegal automatic receiver... the RCMP didn't any any valid answer. All reporters in attendance were offered the chance to take a selfie with a cut-out of PM Trudeau.

The biggest joke is, post photos, nothing is going to insure the state of the lower AFTER this idiotic process.

Not that I am suggesting it in any way, but how is providing pictures going to stop a "criminal" from making certain modifications after the pictures are submitted. Photos are no guarantee/assurance, merely a waste of time.
