July 'Crazy Idea' Contest!
Suggest a target, target stand, or range prop that we don’t already make.

If we like it enough to start making it, you’re a winner (and we’ll let you name it)!

Winners will share a prize pool including hundreds of dollars in RangeRabbit.com Gift Cards and other prizes.

The CGNer with the coolest idea will win the product he suggested.

Contest ends July 31. Unlimited entries. Judges decisions are final. Product suggestions become our property (sound of evil laughter).

I would love to see a 'Dueling tree' type target stand that would work with BB pistols. It would be a lot of fun on private property without all the problems associated with use of restricted pistols.

I would love a target that's like one of those inflatable punching characters that falls down and gets back up.

Silhouette of a car/truck made out of self healing plastic with AR400 poppers. Say hit one in the window and another target pops up over the hood. Hit one over the trunk/bed and it resets.

My idea is for a two-gong set. The idea is for the two plates to be hung one on top of the other, to represent an IPSC or IDPA style paper target. To be used for 100-300m precision 22lr practice.

how about a roll of targets that you could just pull down and rip off. Kinda like this concept:

the targets being of prime mistake turd of course

Have some kind of portable mount with steel behind it so you can see your hits on paper and get a satisfying ding. Maybe have a non steel plate version as well

I've got the winner right here....

What about a saloon shooting gallery type game. Steel plate with cutouts that are shaped like various saloon items that when shot flip down leaving an empty cutout to let the shooter know the hit was good. Resetting of the cutouts can probably be achieved with a system similar to a steel plate rack. You can also grow the idea. Bullseye target with an X ring cutout, IPSC target with an A zone cutout, IDPA target with an A zone cutout, etc.

Mount a Texas Star on an arm that when you shoot the first plate and the star starts to turn it off balances the arm and it starts to swing as well as rotate.
I'm no artist so don't even know where to begin a drawing you just asked for ideas.

My wife and i used to play a game called El Bandito where 2 balloons were set up for each shooter and one was in the middle. the rules were you could only load 2 rounds at a time. first one to shoot their balloons and reload and shoot the middle one was the winner.

A set of resetting falling plates that are in that format might be fun.
