I don't collect them but do agree that they are all the same. I've never had a problem with them.I collect pump rifles but they all have the same mag release.

I am now the proud owner of this rifle , I love it . Can't wait to take it out this fall .
7-08 or 280?
338 Federal , it was originally posted on this thread in 2010 , post # 240 . It feeds reliably and loves Nosler 210 grain Partitions . A buddy bought it from Blargon a few years back . I called dibs if he ever sold it , he did , I won't be selling it .
Actually , it'll be used for Moose , Elk and if I run into one , Mule Deer this Fall .
Prices are getting higher, but do see them in the $500 range w/o scope. Watch the EE. They come up often enough. How much $ for a good used 7600 in 30-06?
^^^^^ some of the very early models were profiled that way..... nothing aftermarket there....
1978--New series of serial numbers started on 1-3-78 for 760's starting at B 7,400,000. New serial number range for 742's starting at B 6,000,000
I noticed a dealer with a 760 Gamemaster for sale, and when I looked at the pictures, something seemed different with the receiver profile. I was thinking that maybe someone reprofiled the receiver for a receiver sight, but that looks like a pretty substantial amount of material removed. Has anyone seen something similarly done to a 760/7600? This wouldn't have been a factory change?
