I made the mistake of buying CCI Quiet once before then found out it will not cycle in a 10/22 - the CCI was sold the next day.

Now that I've put a lot of rounds through my 10/22 and polished the insides, I've had 2 or 3 Cci quiets cycle in my 10/22

Cabelas has some on sale right now, 2.99 per 50 individual box. Federal SV and AE HV.. I shoot those in the past in various of rifles. SV works good in bolt as always, and the AE HV works fine in anything . anything passes 99 dollars, it's free shipping. So if you need, go get some .

Yeah I should've done this a couple months back, Wholesale Sports had the 525 pack of Federal Champion on sale for 27.99, should've bought a cart load of them, instead of 1! lol.

Works out to .06 per shot, will it ever get any lower then that? Doubt it, the gun counter guys at Cabela's motto is "Ammo never goes down" lol.

I can still remember some people that could not understand why I was paying $500 per case for SK or RWS loads a few years ago. I purchased several cases at those prices. Now I am the one laughing at the people that are paying almost as much for low end bulk ammunition.

like stubblejumper I too stashed away a few of cases of cci sv, sk and lapua ammo before the price went crazy. I sold all the bulk I had left over for double or more what I payed because I no longer use it..

Thanks for the tips guys. The American Eagle on sale at Cabela's for 2.99 for a 50 box works really well in my Ruger SR 10/22, I just ordered a 100 boxes lol. I'll be good for awhile. Works out to .06 per shot.
