Well, I broke down and took the plunge...just sent off the EMT for a P7 PSP roll marked "H&K HKI- Columbus GA" and "Made in W Germany" from the EE. Included were two mags, box, manual, takedown tool and cleaning rod. It's wearing wood grips and the plastic grips are also included. From the photo in the listing it looks like either a 6 or 8/87 production date. Now the CFO/CanadaPost wait begins.
Thanks for all the info and advice. it was very helpful.
Hope you like the pistol once it arrives. The roll marks indicate this is a police trade-in. The NDS in the oval is "Polizei Niedersachsen" or "Police of Lower Saxony".
The mark within the square is called the Bundesadler (Federal Eagle), a common mark found on German Federal insignia.
There is no stag horn which means it was not proofed at the Ulm factory but by the federal German government.
The Columbus, GA stamp indicates it was imported into the US and refurbished/reconditioned at the Columbus HK facility prior to release into the civilian market.
Check the piston once you receive the pistol. The edges of the rings should be almost sharp to the touch.
