Hi TI. Is the t81 receiver made of 4mm or 5mm sheet stamp ? Is this the same as what the army is using? Thanks.

Because politicians wrote a law that says so. The RCMP enforce the law. Gotta get a politician to change it and get enough politicians to back his rewrite.

I believe it is only 1.5 mm. 4 or 5 mm seems like overkill. Be pretty darn heavy.

Handguns with barrels 4" or less...(although a revolver cylinder length stupidly doesn't count towards this)...
Handguns in .25acp and .32acp (expect target style pistols)...

These were all banned to anyone unlucky enough to be born after a certain date (not that fair is it now?...are not ALL Canadian regardless of age supposed to be treated equal?)

The reason?

This "blanket" covered the largest amount of handguns they could come up, especially with what was both CHEAP and COMMON in the decades before hand.

It has zero to do with public safety...

Found from Chinese forum for military funs - Ak47and T81 magazines are not interchangeable because AK47 doesn't hold back bolt after last round but T81 does. It's also said that T81 mags are thicker and wider and that AK mags can be inserted in T81 but won't function appropriately.

That's interesting. I have some 10/5 Magpul 7.62x39 that are wider than an AK mag and won't fit in my M305. Hmmm. I wonder?

AK pattern mags vary widely. Some might work, some might not. The fact AK mags won't function the bolt hold open would be enough for an advertiser to say "they don't function correctly".

Once they get here, people can try out all sorts of AK mags and be able to tell what, if any, work.

Until then, assume they won't.
