CamPro 55 gr 223 bullets... what's the best to expect?

In the great powder shortage a few years ago, I couldn't get varget for anything, so I tried imr4320 as a substitute. Both in .223 and .308 I played around and never got even close to varget groupings. Just sayin....

+1 - I started loading on 4320 and while I don't like Varget in .223 with light bullets ( <=55gn), I'll probably never use 4320 again. Results were MOAish but I didn't start really consistently breaking it until I switched powders and stopped shooting the bullets being discussed in this thread. I've never used the CamPros but have used both the Hornady 55FMJ and the 55SP bullets with only acceptable results. The FMJs were more or less MOA and the SPs would occasionally shoot really impressive groups but not consistently. I believe they varied in length and nose shape quite a bit, which resulted in me jamming some rounds that were intended to jump some distance to the lands. I'm currently shooting the 52gn Match BTHP and don't see any reason to be shooting anything else apart from maybe the Vmax line if you're into varmints. They shot pretty well from my rifle but not as well as the match bullets.

Winchester 748 and 55gr Campros are my pet load for bulk AR shooting. Tennis ball sized groups in almost a dozen different guns that were tested with them.

I'm loading at 26 gr which is the middle of Campro's load data range for the above-mentioned bullet / powder in 223. That said, always try to cross-reference other data and work up carefully to establish max within your rifle / load combo.

I ship stuff pretty much every day. Shipments come pretty much every week or two. Various items come from various sources so times vary.... so does inventory.

Maybe not 2 to 3 months unless it was backordered.. but then I would have told you so :)
