Dt741 did you use the sponge technique? Looks damn good, kinda reminds me of UCP.

Yup I used sponged for an "atacs" look. Here is the different steps. Finished with layers of krylon flat clear coat

I stupidly removed the paint off the Mod 0 parts so now it's all black. In retrospect, I wish I'd left the paint on because so many of my rifles are black or green, so the tan was a nice contrast in my safe.
So, I decided to leave my Block II clone with tan parts.
I did give the upper on my Block II build a squirt of fresh Krylon though because I want the paint to wear naturally, from use. I also wanted to cover up the DD markings for the clone look:

It turned out a bit on the bright side, but since these pics, I've given them a light dusting of brown, and again, over time, it will darken up and wear naturally.

my wife made a sign for my den that says "Dad's Den" over a nice winter camo she did.
she got the idea for it off of Pintrest.
i liked the colors of the sign so much i asked her if she could do it on one of my guns.
she thought it would work, so i let her try it out.
i rather like it!
its been a couple years and its help up good!
here was a pic while she was doing it.
it was base coat of solid color then pine boughs overtop and shoot spray cans over the boughs.
couple coats of clear matte to protect the pain job.

My Marlin .22. It was having som light rust issues so I pulled it apart, taped all the places I didn't want paint and now!!! The grouse will never see me coming.
