Hey guys I just ordered one of these scopes from cabelas on sale for 299.99 with free shipping for my BCL102.
4-16×44 FFP with their ballistic reticle
30mm tube
.25moa adjustment
Moa reticle (also available on strelok pro)
Exposed low pro tac turrets

Just seeing if anyone has used this scope. I figure for the price why not try it right? They come with a lifetime warranty at least.
I know the argument for mil/mil but I'm still a moa guy and I understand this ain't a 1500.00 optic but The reviews seem favorable and I'm planning on using hold over with the reticle so even if the tracking isn't spot on like my sightron SIII I can live with it.

They are great scopes for the money, I have 3 of them, no worries. Mi/Mil or Moa/Moa is mostly a moot issue, I've used and like both in different circumstances. The reticle on this ffp model is great for ranging and compensating. Lots of good features on this low cost scope for the money.

Yeah for some reason you need to go to cabelas.com to get the low down:

[h=3]Cabela's Covenant Tactical FFP Riflescopes[/h]
The 4-16X44 has 60 MOA of adjustment.
The 6-24X50 has 40 MOA of adjustment.

There are 15 MOA adjustment per turret revolution.

What's the adjustment range on these.... little short on details on the website.

I got the 6-24x50 version on a rifle I bought , the reticle is a little busy with all the numbers on it , but it is quite clear and holds zero .

good scope for the price

No, they don't come with a lifetime warranty unless you bought it in the states and have an address down there. I didn't buy one specifically because of cabelas.ca bull**** warranty in canukistan, 1 year is all you got, while in the states the exact same scope is lifetime... another reason I'm sad to see wholesale bite the dust, even with the issues at least there was some competition. they will even tell you it is lifetime at the counter until you point out the fine print, then they act all embarrassed like they didn't know...
" All other Cabela's brand merchandise is guaranteed for one full year under normal use and against defects in materials and workmanship."

I didn't know this, I was told lifetime at the counter.

Yes it's ridiculous, to quote the Saskatoon store manager I spoke with. Look at the cabelas.com site and it is"guaranteed for the life of the product". Same item, same warranty, not! And to top it off, cabelas.com appears to be going to vortex/cabelas leaving the cabelas brand orphaned? Gotta wonder if they are not dumping them to canada knowing they don't have to warranty them. As a guess, that is what they are doing...
That said, 299 for a ffp scope is a screaming deal, have at her! I'd put it on a 50 and blaze it for 364 days, return it and tell em it doesn't hold zero. Explain how their warranty sucks and walk out smiling. With your 299 of course. If everybody did that I suspect they would change their policy for Canada. The only thing cabelas understand is $.

The 4-16 might work for me then....the 6-24 won't.
Thanks for the info, 1 year warranty on a $300 Chinese scope has me a little hesitant lol. Stupid ass Cabela's Canada.

Geeze, if it's FFP you are after, $160 on Amazon straight from the source...30mm tube, 4-14x44, illuminated...and I think lifetime warranty?
All accessories fix a good and long life time rifle scope, we quality guaranteed, or refund.

Fine enough, more so than other ffp I've had. View at 750 yard back drop and 14 power using a very crappy cell phone pic, that was a PITA. There is video footage on youtube, but not much.

Are the reticles fairly fine or they a bit course? In real life...

Good job! I've tried that before... cell pic of reticle and gave up quickly lol.
I'm on the fence.... price is good, my last Chinese scope was a Bushnell Legend that I mounted on a 9.3x62 and it's been great, very bright and clear with great eye relief.... this may have been the push I needed

Well the optic arrived yesterday and I'm impressed. The turrets are a little mushy but as I originally said I plan on using the reticle and holdover with this optic. Clarity is really impressive for the price and even at 4x the reticle is clearly visible even against a forest background. As for the warranty box says lifetime on manufactures defect so I'll take my chance. If it don't break the first time out then it will probably be good to go.

Mine will be here this week. I'm hoping it will work with my set-up, 20moa base on a 700, but I ran out of adjustment with a 50moa scope at 100m once already. Currently have a fixed 10x with 80moa with no issues. I like the covenant reticle, looks quite useable and not just for show, and worst case I can use holdovers if I run out of adjustment.
