Do any of you who have the 4x16 version know which Butlers Creek caps work with these?
Now forgive my ignorance since this is my first FFP reticle scope. I get the reason behind the scope having the same subtensions throughout the magnification range for ease of range calculation. But the reticle isn't useable at the lower powers...like at all. I don't think you could range #### with this under 10x, and you can't even make out the center dot under 8x, reticle is pretty much just a blur at low power.
Am I missing some other great benefit FFP has over SFP? Or is this just not a great FFP reticle? A mildot would at least give you a cross hair of some sort at lower power right?

Have changed your mind about the usefulness of the reticle at low power magnification after you trip to the range?
On sale for an even better price...$280.

Was thinking about it....but the lack of a decent warranty put me off.
I'm not sure Cabela's could deny the lifetime warranty....says it right on the box.
Geeze, if it's FFP you are after, $160 on Amazon straight from the source...30mm tube, 4-14x44, illuminated...and I think lifetime warranty?

I don't think it is the same scope since the Cabela's does not have an illuminated reticle
