Yes indeed they could... but that would mean fewer customers buying and idle stocks sitting in TI's warehouse. Not good for business.

Again...T97 was $1100 when they landed and our dollar was par, they can be had for $700 today and our dollar has dropped 30 cents. At $700 the importer (NS) and the retailer are both making a profit. How much do you think NS pays per unit? TI is the importer, they could sell these for $500 and still double their money at minimum.

I ordered a folding stock but now my boy is giving it the thumbs down.
They both look about the same length and I would think the Chinese choose the folding variety as it was probably cheaper to make.
Are you guys going with folding or the fixed? Both?

I was going to go with the folding but finally, i ordered the fixed stock. I had a folder on my CZ 858, lockup appered to be tight but was still play in the stock so i reinstalled my fixed stock and sold the folder. The T81 with the blonde fixed stock will look awesome in my opinion.

I would think the folder cost more to make. They chose to switch to folders for uniformity because it was better suited for para and tank crews.

I would agree that folding and unfolding of a folder will cause wear and slack.
