Apparently the rifles did already ship, slotted for shore arrival within 1.5-3 weks

Seriously?
Oh well, I guess now those who haven't pre-ordered will just wait for a review from those who did... once the rifles ship... IF they ship.
(fingers crossed that they do, of course!)
No more incentive to do otherwise.![]()
Prices could go up after they land.
I doubt they would go down...they sold more than half of the preorder at this price, I can't see them cutting prices...

Yes indeed they could... but that would mean fewer customers buying and idle stocks sitting in TI's warehouse. Not good for business.
So.... what you're saying is that everyone should just cancel their pre-order and re-order at a discount once they land? I wonder how low TI could go down on the price and still make a profit.
Interesting hypothetical scenario.

Again...T97 was $1100 when they landed and our dollar was par, they can be had for $700 today and our dollar has dropped 30 cents. At $700 the importer (NS) and the retailer are both making a profit. How much do you think NS pays per unit? TI is the importer, they could sell these for $500 and still double their money at minimum.
So are you gonna buy a T81 or not???
I ordered a folding stock but now my boy is giving it the thumbs down.
They both look about the same length and I would think the Chinese choose the folding variety as it was probably cheaper to make.
Are you guys going with folding or the fixed? Both?
If the reviews are favorable and the price drops a bit absolutely.
