Who is buying a Type81?

I honestly cant see it selling for $1400 once it lands because demand hasn't outstrip the supply by a large margin.

There may be a few that will fish for that price but I don't think it will sell but it might if TI hasn't brought any more in in two years.

This is all subject to no serious flaws and qc issues.

YAY! The other thread on these has an update from someone's text with them and TI states that they are scheduled to arrive late this week and start shipping out the 1st or 2nd week of OCT!!!!!!! So close now!!!

Yes, I know. Wishful thinking is all this is at the moment! I hope it is not held up long at customs!!! Sometime in October for getting these into peoples hands would be great!

Unfortunately, I fall on the side that it will take longer at customs , simply because it's the first shipment and they will ensure it was built on new receiver.

Canam shipment of t97 was seized after inspection by custom 8 years ago.

Well some idiots doing the name calling stuff got the TI Type81 thread locked.... again. Man that crap is getting tiresome. I bet there are like 12 locked Type81 threads on CGN now :(

I will be the first to admit , I didn't know much about the kachin independent army (KIA) till recently .

I read that they have on a small scale production of their variant t81.

I'm more interested in how their grenade launcher works.

basically, it looks like a tube attached , can't see the barrel or a grenade sticking out so anybody got an idea of how it works and can they quickly use it as a rifle?

To bad about the locked thread.. I wonder if anyone will be in PINK ??
Is Monday the start of week 9??? Hard to keep track of when the 6-8 week arrival window started???

I figure it basically lob grenade and then switch to a pull thru.

Note, there is no front sight.

Some KIA Type 81's.

Apart from folder and furniture, looks like any other T81.

Another, bipod LMG variant:

Another variant that looks like polymer furnitire on otherwise standard pattern T81, some sort of different mag variant though.

A few examples in the same photo. Note the magazine window one one - handy, but maybe not great for dirt ingress? No folders in the batch.

Interesting pic of a KIA soldier with a Galil in hand and AK on back. Not a T81 photo, but I found the galil presence interesting.
