The FRT - Firearms Awaiting Classification - Updated 18-DEC-2017 Faxon XRS-C

There was a post that they are selling in the states as low as $899

Shouldn't be anywhere near tavor prices

With reported accuracy twice better than Tavor/X95 and price twice less... and reliability reports don't look bad. BTW Kel-Tec already has 20" version, picture is the proof.

The MDR is far superior to the RDB. In addition to the aforementioned malfunction clearing issues with the RFB, it's a Kel-Tec.

And far expensiver! It had better be better than a gun that costs less than 1/2 as much. Realistically none of us know which is superior. But I'm game to find out!

Anyone know what's happening with Mountain Machine Works? That 180b could easily become the BCL102 equivalent for 223/556.

The action looks good. I love the downwards ejection as Im a lefty. But it looks like every other Kel-Tec ever made. Ugly as sin!

I would be afraid to put it in my gun locker. I wouldn't want to open the door one time to find out the Kel-Tec plastic leprosy disease had spread to the rest of my guns.

The have or will have a survival version out that i seen pictures of a while back. It looked interesting.

"The bottom line is that there’s so much crazy-awesome-#### going on inside the RDB with every pull of the trigger, we can’t possibly cover it all in one article. The mere fact that you could perform charging handle slaps in the mirror while screaming, “Yippee Ki Yay” all day long should convince any sane person to purchase this weapon immediately at any price."

I'm sold :)

You don't have to worry about the MDR going boom. But hey, you gets what you pays for with Keltec...

I don't worry about keltecs going boom. Had at least 8 of them. Never had an issue, never once had to use their warranty. Have you had a lot of personal experience with keltec catastrophic failures? And for that matter do you have experience with the MDR enough to sing it's praises?

The quality of Desert Tech speaks for itself (as does Keltec). Considering the MDR and RDB are both relatively new, we're going to have to rely on reviews (MAC, etc.) until they start trickling up here. For the price of a new RDB I'd purchase a used Tavor any day of the week. As for the MDR, it's totally worth the price of an ACR just based on features (and more than an X95, FS2000 or RDB).

There are extended use reports on RDBs as rifle was available in US since 2015. There are plenty of them, just google. Two years is sufficient to get experience with and make conclusions. Kel-tec is pushing further what Glock had started, nothing bad about it. I also like/prefer all-metal firearm, but these days tendency is to manufacture "just enough reliable to fulfill the task", nobody would want to manufacture over-engineered C96 with 1200 meters rear sight.

Nothing seen as of 29-SEP-2017. Checked Walther as manufacturer, or HK as the "Make". Surprising since this rifle was submitted only a few months ago versus other firearms that have been sitting at the lab for years.

Me too, I hope irunguns isn't getting our hopes up and we still have to wait for it. But the NEA102 got approved pretty quickly, about 6 months I think and this G36 has been waiting for about that time.
