For several years our daughter has had deer tags and despite being a very good shot from the bench she has missed some pretty easy shots. I am not sure if her previous attempts were buck fever, or possibly deliberate misses as she has a pretty soft spot for all of gods creatures. I have known for several years now that she is left eye dominant, but right handed. She shoots the AR as a lefty, but shoots the pistol right handed albeit with a bit more cant. Last year she was 16 and did manage to shoot her first whitetail, a nice 1 shot kill at maybe 75 yards with a RH 243 Remington 700. I have been reluctant to purchase her a rifle that fits her as I was not sure if she would ever be able to pull the trigger with the intent of killing an animal. That is no longer an issue and now she has a bull moose draw, as well as a cow elk draw for this November. I'm looking for a bolt rifle that is left hand, and synthetic, preferably stainless with a detachable magazine. I have looked at a bunch of manufacturers websites and there just isn't much out there. The Remington SPS look pretty cheesy. Browning and Winchester don't have much. There is Weatherby but limited in calibers and I'd like to stay under $1500. I'm thinking 7mm-08, 7mm, 280. Thoughts?
