It is mostly media and large firearms groups. I have a humble following on social media and do reviews etc., so I got my turn to have it haha
If you place the bayo beside barrel but lined up properly with the lug how close does the knife ring get to the last muzzle ring. My guess is about 1/4"-3/8" short
That would be my guess too.
Question , does the bayo lock into the bayo lug properly? Not too much slack, I hope.
The bayo lug and ring are not issues, the bayonet's will fit in that regard.
However, what is preventing them from going on is that tiny nub inside the bottom of the ring on the actual bayonet itself. It needs to be filed off. I will demonstrate what needs to be done in a video I will upload.
That little guide on the bayonet needing to be removed was brought up in another thread by Bfiles I think. Who knows perhaps the final products muzzle will be slotted appropriately. I'm surprised length isn't an issue however.
Ok so I went ahead and filed off the little nub... now I see another issue.
The lug on the rifle is too wide for the bayonets, or the bayonet locking mechanism is a bit too short.
A fix is to either file down the size of the bayo lug, or the little locking mechanism on the rifles.
Hopefully these pics explain it better...
Doesn't get more clear than that, thanks for taking the time to clarify. I'm still scratching my head at the length though due to the bayonet sitting exactly where it does for the shorter barrel. Does this rifle have the non-restricted barrel installed?
No worries. Oh, I see what people mean by that now... to see whether the ring will fit over the outer rings on the GL shroud. That could be an issue on the final guns.
This one still has the restricted original barrel. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I think the primary issue is where the knife barrel ring will sit on the rifle barrel. It likely won't reach the muzzle ring area and should sit approx 1" back from where where it is now which will put it on the barrel about 1/4" or so behind the muzzle
Despite reading multiple times this sample was the restricted version I still, for some daft reason, was thinking this was the non-restricted version. My aplogies.
Thanks for doing that.
I was surprised the bayo ring sat on the land outside of the barrel when I was expecting it to sit in the lower section bcos our barrels are an inch longer.
How tall are you? if you have long arms, how does the stock feel? good size vs. too short?
Easy to get a good cheek weld?
Thanks
This barrel is restricted, the final guns may have that issue I'm thinking because of the 0.75'' longer barrel.
From what I've seen the orig barrel is 445mm in length and the non-restricted barrel 475mm. That equates to 1.18" or 1 3/16th inch approx.
Not sure, all I know is TI has told me the increase will be 0.75", and that's what I am getting with a tape measure to make it NR compared to this rifle.
