IMO the best thing you can do to your SG is to ship it to Casey(Tacord) for his Full Vang Comp System mod......and I prefer a plain old bead sight.

Tac ord job with DLC coatings, action job and Vang Comp.
With the exception of ghost ring sights and an low riding red dot for Main.
Magpul stock and forend.
Ferro concepts slingster 2 to 1 sling.
Light mounted to forend.
I like the 400 lumen inforce light on the thumb side to engage/disengage light quickly as needed.
And jumbo safety in case tac ord doesn't do it.
Oh and definitely 6 round detachable side saddle (more ammo with a shotgun is a lifesaver)
I prefer the relatively inexpensive s&J hardware soft hook and loop saddles as you can keep many and stick em to armour etc...

And now you've got a reliable shotgun for life.
For the price of a used car.....lol.

I'd go with a Magpul SGA stock so that the LOP can be corrected for you, the difference this makes is remarkable. I installed a standard QD swivel stud to the underside of the SGA. I used to like the idea of the additional ammo the Speedfeed stock provided, but found the spring pressure over time defeated the crimps on buckshot loads, so it was only useful with slugs; I don't miss it. I have a Tac-Star side-saddle on my gun, and I appreciate that a screw replaces the cross pin that secures the trigger group . This gun does see, and has seen a great deal of outdoor use, under tough conditions, and although well maintained, there was an occasion where the steel follower rusted to the magazine tube wall, so I replaced it with a nylon one, and a new spring; the closed end factory magazine spring doesn't work with these followers.

picked up a 590a1 xs security at local CT for $299, not sure why it was so cheap didn't ask just bought when seeing the price, only mod so far is i put industrial velcro on the side receiver so i can swap out 6 round shell cards for a side saddle and they fit in AR mag pouches. works great for me.

No offense but yuk!.. I prefer the traditional look and it seems everything thats on the EE these days has that Magpull stuff on it.
