Thanks for the info. I didn't think there was any "AK type" pistols in Canada, but wanted to make sure.

Now im curious how well the M10x will do with corrosive ammo...

It will do what every other rifle does with it, shoot it reliably and eat your rifle if you don't clean it.

Careful, you leave nowhere to go but down and risk being disappointed. Just read the APC threads to see how it goes getting too excited about something without ever putting hands on product.
For all we know Luckybeer may be right and the plastic may feel like a kids toy instead of the quality polymer used in other guns.

I dig what you're saying, i felt the same way about the APC hype.
This time however, there's been a ton of positive media coverage from sources I trust like iv8888, all stating reliable function and under 2 MOA.

Price is good, good trigger, quality barrel, 7-ish pounds, easy take down, folding stock, x39.

Magpul plastic is good, see ACR.
Consider that the XCR is nearly double the price now.

I'll tell you when I get mine :p

It should do just as fine as any other x39 corrosive shooting rifle if maintained properly and it looks pretty simple to clean

Agreed 100%. The M10X is a "known quantity" with reliable and highly positive reviews. The APC 223 was a completely unknown quantity aside from an inconclusive Larry Vickers video and some European photos. People assumed that it would be something astounding based on its pedigree. Not so much in real life, hence the over-hype and resultant disappointment. It is an entirely different kettle of fish with the M10X. Nobody is expecting Swiss build quality, so as long as the rifle runs well and is decently fit and finished, all will be good. By all accounts thus far, the M10X will actually live up to its hype at a very reasonable price point.

I own and have owned enough different black rifles that I have a hard time getting too excited about any new design prior to handling and firing them for myself. That said, I am currently very optimistic about the M10X. It would appear to be all that it has cracked up to be, offering modern modularity in a purpose-designed 7.62x39mm carbine at a Milsurp price-point. Unlike the CZ 858 and Type 81, which are clearly from a bygone era and must be mated with bandaid solutions to offer even the barest of modulariity. The M10X is a winner right out of the Canadian starting gate thanks to rwo years of fielding in the US market. Just my $.02 worth....

I'm looking forward to seeing these in person, sounds like it would scratch my x39 itch that my SKS doesn't.
I've been so consumed with 223, 300BLK, 6.5cm, 308, 7-08 and lately 300win that I haven't fired a round of x39 in a couple years.
I was hoping the CMMG Mutant would be able to be converted to non restricted with a barrel swap like my ACR but unfortunately the firearms lab crushed that dream.

Sounds like they combined the best features of three or four rifles and made this, I may have to buy one as soon as they become available. :)

Well CanAm deleted everything out of their thread that in any way referred to them potentially interfering with the WA order or intentions to raise price, then locked their thread. Not good.

Lesson learned here - I should have put in a pre-order with the first dealer to list a firm price instead of waiting for CA to put up their pre-order. When the price potentially gets jacked, I'm out. On principle alone.

It's a dog eat dog world in the firearms business in this country and this whole ordeal clearly smells of dog s#it! Let's just hope the wind picks up and blows the stink away.
Here's to hoping this isn't what it seems

Wish I jumped on it instead of sleeping it thru and missing out.

Pre order price was 1449.99$ and when CanAm was asked what the price would be, the answer was "the lowest price"

Hopefully they clear things up this week

Notice "the lowest price" doesn't mean "under $1449".

same thing happened with the t81 at the beginning ....

Note to M+M

If you leave the msrp at 1450 you will make more on volume than on margin if you raise to 2500, dont underestimate how cheap us Canadians are when it comes to firearms, that higher price and the shananigans will make that demand evaporate for years. Now that the cat is out of the bag that 1450 is afair price how is anything higher fair?

You should look into a story about a magical t2 garand offered here and what happened to that supplier when the BS was revealed...

Hell yeah!

I think wanstalls has set the price of this gun whether this was intentional or not anything over the preorder price is going to be seen as gouging by the manufacturer or Canada ammo

The review was good, they seemed to really like the rifle.
I'm not gonna be burying mine in a sand box so the minor issue that it had is irrelevant
