I did some research and I believe it has been in Canada waters for a few days now. I believe its on a ship called the Xin Fei Zhou. It due to be unloaded by Oct 12th and has already entered port in Prince Rupert to load and unload some stuff there.

Not a lucky ship, she's had accidents before...

Significant hull damage in the Panama Canal locks in 2016.

Nope - they purged any good pricing info from that thread and locked it. Wantsalls also stopped selling pre-orders and their stock instantaneously dropped from over 100 to zero earlier today.

The OEM joined the site and is claiming they have not decided on Canadian pricing yet - in other words, they will start charging more than what they first agreed with Wantsalls.

That gun is about to turn into a real sh!tSh@w. Glad I have my T81 en route.

Where the fvck do you make this #### up! ?!?!?

Still posted price on the thread and website. Nothing has changed.

Go look for yourself instead of posting utter crap

Man us gunner are our own worst enemies.

They have two active threads in their forum. Go look again.

Presales are a contract.

How about all of you keep this thread to t81 stuff, go clutter the m10x gun thread. They are landing soon and I’m sure I’m not the only one that wants to see t81 updates, not m10x bull####

M10X is just another fluff piece, probably shoot itself appart before the Type 81 is even broken in,the M10X video is funny.the guy talks about the great relaibilty of it,since they have almost 2000 rounds through it,,LOL.that's what 2 or 3 days of range fun, let's see 20 or 50 thousand rounds through one,the Type 81 is THE REAL DEAL,military grade with proven track record,i'll that kind of record any day.

Ah yes! I did some research too, and discovered it actually came into the Port of Tofino on the āśśhāťty Aru2. The container was then picked up by a disgruntled trucker from New Brunswick who thought TI was scamming everyone and shacked up with a hooker and some blow in Chilliwack. I had coffee with him yesterday.
It's all good.

When I said "they", I meant Canada Ammo - not Wantsalls. Re-read my post with that in mind and it should make sense.

That's some great stuff there, Whiskey1 - you ought to start a comedy routine and take it on the road! Do you have any idea what the projected service life of the T81 actually is? They are disposable Chinese war materiel, just like the average PLA conscript soldier. If I were you i would wait before heaping unjustified scorn on another firearms design. I stand to be corrected, but based on my ownership of various CHICOM AKs and SKSs back in the day your T81 will be chock full of razor sharp internal edges all dressed up in cheap-arsed salt-bluing that will rust where touched if not constantly oiled - which will wear off the bluing in short order leaving you with a Cerakote invoice,. The M10X may be a relatively untried hybrid of many good ideas, but at least it is modular and free-floated with nitride and anodized finishes to the steel and aluminum parts, including the barrel for extended service life over old-tech chrome. The T81 is a tired throwback to the 1980s that is incapable of mounting an optic or illuminator without a fugly bandaid rail system. As far as competing designs and service life are concerned, I have already voted with my wallet and my money is most certainly not on a tired 40--year old design in limited production. By all means, enjoy your T81, but don't for a second pretend that it is is superior to competing, modern designs in 7 62x39mm. That is simply not the case, no matter how much you might wish it were so.

The jury is out on the T81 that we are getting. Nobody here can say for certain if they are even identical (apart from full auto) to a pla version.

I look forward to testing mine and drawing my own conclusions. But no military rifle in the modern era is disposable. The same is true of the Chinese offerings.

Speaking of real military guns, how many premature failures have you read about with Chinese SKS, type56 AK's or type 81's? I haven't seen any.

I've been critical of this deal over time and eventually jumped on the order once it looked like it would finally work out after years of foot dragging. My criticisms were about 100% down payments before it was even confirmed the guns were in theanufacturing queue.

But that aside, it's not fair to criticise a physical product nobody has seen yet.

As for the M10X, there are reviews in the USA and I've not heard of major issues. But I haven't looked that hard. I agree that 2000 rounds is not an endurance test.

I guess we have a M10X fan boy here,LOL.for your information bud,the SKS,Type81,AK's will be around LONG after your little aluminum toy will in the junk heap.so dont try and make it sound like this new toy will outlast ACTUAL military firearms,LOL.that's rich, granted the M10 is a great idea and a nice looking weapon, but to compare it's longevity with that of weapons that have been around for many decades is just a joke,

I owned a 84 ford so a '17 ford is going to be identical when it comes to finish and fitting I know because I used to own old ford's.

Clearly you're educated in these rifles since you bring up such valid points.

Look an expert who is the only one in Canada that owns the finished product. Oh wait your not. How do you know it's full of razor sharp edges? Lots of assumptions there on your part.

Your one of those guys that says everything from China is junk, yet you probably own a I phone or android. We have enough trolls here now.

I don't know why they don't ban people that come on dealer threads just to bash products they clearly know nothing about. How could you when the rifles not even in the country

Only red rifle that won't last you're lifetime is a vz58 due to the action chewing into the reciever and the hollow weak striker. Sks, type 81, and valmets should burn out the barrel long before the action is worn
