This whole thing is turning into another T2 garand ****show
Nothing but arguing, pissing/whining. Im tempted to call Wanstalls and cancel my preorder.
I could care less if they honor the presale agreement or not at this point
I have a T81 on the way, as far as I'm concerned M+M can go pound sand

According to M+M, Wanstalls is expected to give an official retraction so you may have no need to waste your valuable time calling to cancel. Looking like you won't be getting one from them anyway. Once again the consumer is getting the shaft.

Mm just dumped one retailer and consumer and mm went for the higher bidder to force sell at a higher price. wow

At the end of the day, I hope this just kills M+M's reputation on the Canadian market. Its obvious theyre trying to pull a fast one.

I hope thats the case anyway. Wanstalls should disclose any emails they had with M+M and clear the air.

If it turns out Wanstalls tried to pull a fast one, its the last time I'll be dealing with them.

Their whole rollout looks like sh!t now, what was a good news story with a positive vibe, has been turned into trash. I'd love to know the real story, I have my assumptions and so do others. What I do know, is that the optics of this whole mess makes the 3 parties involved look stupid (putting it mildly), to varying degrees and in varying ways.

They're Facebook posts are throwing wanstalls under the bus. I call bull#### on wanstalls just picking a price out of the air and putting on a presale with m + m having no knowledge or involvement. I'm sure somebody from m + m gave the go ahead and maybe it wasn't the right person but that is m + m' s problem. This company is looking pretty shady to me.
you may call BS, but two companies claiming to be the one who submitted the same gun for FRT and doing on the leg work is something everyone should have seen right through. The FRT even says who did all the work.

I am surprised that people are still this naive when all the cards are on the table.

Since the 18.6" version is also available in the USA to dealers and retailers, Wanstalls likely was buying from a third party at usa discounted prices (based on distributor volume) and self importing to undercut the Canadian dealer. M+M is just sticking up for their distribution and sales network

Actually Wanstalls NEVER stated they sent in the sample to the RCMP.

And even if CanAm did send in the sample does that mean they have the sole rights and purpose to be the only ones to import these rifles?!?!?!?

I'm not standing up for any company but I look at all the facts then spreading misinformation

In the end I have been wanting this rifle bad and now it seems like the want is turning into disgust and we will just see how much it is and how it plays out.

nothing good comes from can firearms retailers fighting, the public just loses because these guys don't care the damage they cause, look at the swiss arms scenario. Guy blows whistle on another retailer, submits his own rifle as proof the other retailers is different, only to find out his own stores rifles he has been importing for years were the actual problem

I still don't see where it says "WE SUBMITTED THE SAMPLE RIFLE", do.you!?!?!?!?

Cuz you did say that Wanstalls did in fact send in the sample. Where's the proof of them saying that

Possibly they were the ones always calling and checking in, asking if the rcmp needed anything further to help speed up the process.

But again I guess it's easier to push around false information then it is to call and ask the owners themselves what happened right ;-)

what is the scope of their "extensive work" with the rcmp to get the rifle approved if someone else submitted the rifle and documents for the FRT process to the RCMP?

Two retailers claim to be the ones who got the rifle approved by the RCMP, you claim only one submitted a rifle, so who is lying about the "extensive work" they did with the RCMP during this process?

The only work they did was to keep the back door open so they could sneak in. That door apparently has been slammed shut on their a$$ now.
