Asked to provide pictures of lower to RCMP before they will complete transfer?

And they know the picture is of the proper receiver how?
If its a top down picture of the internals any picture would work.
I wonder if these guys believe the pics of women on tinder are all real too?

wrong

Well there is zero chance to have a serial number and lower receiver FCG opening depicted in one picture. If this is what the CFO asked for then they are full of shyte.

I’ve been thinking about buying my first AR, but I don’t want to risk the chance of having to turn in my rifle with no compensation. What AR lowers are meeting this new requirement?

well my friends 9mm lower is on the chopping board . its deemed a prohib . what should we do and how do we fight it. it can happen to any of us.

It's only an RCMP interpretation, but this is one that I bet they feel they'll be able to push through - unlike the Ruger 10/22 issues, where they seem to afraid to make the first move, for the great possibility of losing.

I would have your friend lawyer-up (Solomon or Ed, if possible), and when ready, call the RCMP with a Molon Labe, and let this nonsense go to trial. If it doesn't go to trial, owners will lose them without any compensation, and I'll bet there are more out there that we figure.

Qc10 (someone had issue with the same lower couple pages before ). I too have lowers that not cut with thick wall either. I'm not gonna name the brand to raise concerns . But this is bull ####

How does he know it's "on the chopping board". Did your friend call the CFO to register it and they told him it was prohib? Did he get a letter from them?

So what happens when you contact RCMP and you tell them you have an AR not meeting their new policy? Anyone has a real experience to share?

They have inspected firearms prior to give the FRT number hence they should know what it looks like. Do they have a database with pictures to accompany FRT entries ? Maybe thin or thick walls was not something they were looking for in the past and that changed?

The FRT is the database, and it contains pictures for the vast majority of firearms, especially the ones the RCMP inspected directly.

This is what they would get from me, stripped lowers and have a good day mister

You are far too generous, but that is what they are counting on. I wouldn't give them the time of day, and they next thing they get on my behalf would be a summons.

FRT156466 deemed it's a prohib . Another friend who works at a gun store saw the memo.

Its funny to me that they will create a new FRT at the drop of a hat when it suits them, but will also claim that a single FRT entry is broadly applicable when it suits them as well.

I doubt anyone has ever proactively called the RCMP and told them you have an AR that does not meet the their new contrived legal argument to have ARs prohibited. Its not a policy, its a witch hunt, and fortunately ARs that do not conform are about as common as witches.
