Picking up my BCL 102 in 6.5CR tomorrow!!!

what length did you buy?

Barrel was $289 + tax
Smithing was $100 standard fee for swapping barrels.

Strange, every barrel on BA page is $300+ US for over 18 inch.

Sounds like you got a heck of a deal.
Those are some good prices.

All Ballistic Advantage barrels are guaranteed to give sub Minute of Angle (MOA) accuracy with match grade ammunition (taken from their site)
Looking forward to seeing if this is true.

Awesome was there any modification required to use the dpms barrel extension vs armalite? Was the barrel ordered directly from ballistic advantage in the US?

No, it was from Saskatoon Gunworks, no modifications, smith dropped it in, said it fit like a glove. He put it all back together, realized the gas hole was a bit further down the barrel, added a longer gas tube, put it together. Checked headspace, fired it 5 times, said he's happy. Told me he's impressed!

I put a BA Premium Series .223 Wylde 18" dmr profile barrel on my Troy PAR. I repeatedly get 5/8th to 7/8th moa. Have shot a couple hovering around -1/2 moa but rare.

I know when you compare the difference between platforms and calibers it's like trying to compare apples to oranges but it is indicative of the quality of the BA barrels. For the price I was definitely impressed.

Let's hope the 6.5 Creedmoor barrel performers as consistently on the 102. I'm also interested in accuracy of the setup but I really want to see if a better quality barrel eliminates some of the consistency problems the factory barrel on the 102 has shown.

Looking forward to seeing results. If positive this may convince me to take the plunge.

11lbs without the mag. :( next barrel will be carbon fibre!

I wouldn’t be ordering replacement barrels for the next batch until the guns are in people’s hands. Remember they tweaked the guns a bit due to suggestions etc and I’d hate to see people stuck with barrels they can’t use. I’m not saying this is the case but I wouldn’t chance it yet.

Good point Ryan, I will hold off until I get my 102 in my grubby hands. Still prefer 6.5 over 308 though but if it's a laser as a 308 I might keep it.

Ryan, as the official supplier, is there any reason you could not ask them and find out for sure instead of making statements like that. I would like to buy a barrel and if I don't order it my the end of the month, I will have to wait for 14 weeks to order it again. No other rifle I have ever bought is so secretive to release the info of there rifles. I just don't understand the thinking behind this
