Who is buying a Type81?

Well, guess who is jumping on the band wagon?

And it ain't burton cummings, lol

I was always waiting for them to arrive FIRST, and see some real reviews FIRST, before parting with my green queens. I just will never buy an M&M anything. Ever. #### M&M.
I read the T81 Caliber review and honestly, it was not exactly favorable, but it was unbiased at least. If there isn't a steady stream of #####ing like when people started getting out with the T97's I could see getting one.
Right now I'm torn between grabbing another pair of S&L M69 target rifles for $500 each, or sitting back for one of these. I have 3 of them already...but there is a new batch in stock and a few are pretty nice ;)

I don't know if I could get used to the rear sight picture, even after removing the silly crossbar.

The rest of the rifle seems good to go as far as I can tell at this point.

Noooooo say it ain't so, despite the supposed blatant price gouging by TI, the Sh!ty workmanship by the same factory that made the supposed POS T97's. ??! After the countless pages of trolling and ranting, Hitzy can't honestly be considering a TI imported T81?? :runaway:

The cross bar is for launching grenades I'm told. It has something to do with aiming them. :) It's not bad, shoots good.

Its true .... looking on the bright side with m10x out off the running, his kids will get Xmas presents this year, not just the scrooge.

No, it's cheese grater chinese crap. Caliber didn't even install it for their testing because it's such a POS and they had no doubts it would NOT hold zero.

Many pics of PLA soldiers with the cheese grater on their rifles! Caliber only assumed that it wouldn't hold zero, you shouldn't be so quick to take assumptions as fact. I bought one even though it looks like chit, We'll know soon enough if it's a solid piece of kit or not.

That's cause you have never fired a grenade launcher! Simple you line up cross bar with the range marking on the flip up front grenade sight (which in this case is on the actual grenade).

I like to see how you use the rear sight when the rifle is at a 45 degree angle.

Is there any kind of warranty on these?

Nah. It's not a Remington.

I'm sure m14.ca/t97.ca(soon to be t81.ca) will have one on the market soon.

Wasn't really what I was talking about but whatever floats your boat I guess. I have no interest in a aftermarket rail for the T81 I just bought the one TI is selling because it looks like the PLA issue rail and may very well be the real deal.

I bought it simply for curiosity, collectibility and to test, I doubt it will stay on my rifle even if it is a solid performing rail system.
