Just one pistol... ?

I bet if you had to carry that all day, every day, you would soon change your mind.
If you shoot straight, you don't have to reload, even with a 22
as we are not allowed in this country to protect yourself with a handgun 12 ga shot gun with 12-14 inch barrel, pump action

You mean you are not allowed to CARRY a handgun, right? using one to protect yourself is just as legal as anyone other gun, its just virtually impossible to legally have one BEFORE you needed it, which is the point.

Have you seen the stats each year on the number of Canadians attacked by wild animals vs the number of Canadians attacked by Criminal animals?

You are only about 1000 times more likely to need CCW in a city than you are in the wild, but fortunately most of us support both anyways.

Maybe normalize your data factoring in exposure and consequences. Then take it to the politics forum.

I enjoy shooting my sig 226 equinox chambered in the solid hard hitting .40 s&w. I've bought and sold so many pistols, but never have once thought of selling this one.

I can relate to this thread, as i currently only own 1 handgun
9mm 1911, 1000+ rounds a month
I rather only have one and be really proficient than 10 and not use em much

This one ;) because any next one you get you will love it...

j/k I will vote for either the G17 or P226

That's the ####ing WORST reason I can possibly think of

That's really hard...if I could only afford one...my shadow ...without a doubt...but if it was for practical every day use..sad to say...g17..ruthless efficiency....but soul less.....
